Gackt is ugly.

I think there truly is something wrong with him. You don't go out and buy yourself a new face if you're happy with your life, that's for sure. I also think he's a pretty good musician, or he WAS at least. I heard a couple tracks off Creasent yesterday at this great foreign music store near my house. It's awful, I'm so disapointed in him. But hey, at least I didn't buy it.
 
o_o nobody's perfect~~~~ I mean, if he feels better getting plastic surgery, then why can't he? He's got the freedom of choice for such personal stuffs right? Anyway, i doubt anyone will ALWAYS look good, whether during photo shoots or off work... so, leave the poor singer alone please? If you really want to 'kill off' someone, why not do that to Ayumi Hamasaki? She can't sing properly during lives, always going off pitch/tune... ? and most of her songs are not her own compositions.

At least Gackt composes ALL his songs, well maybe except Another World, which really sounds like a rip-off from one of Josey and the PussyCats' songs....

Now, which songs did you listen to on his [crescent] disc? The one i don't like is Kimi Ga Oikaketa Yume... that's a seriously retarded song. Too happy for him. However, the other songs in this album are pretty good.

Slow/sad songs which are GOOD!!--> Tsuki no Uta, Hoshi no Suna

Crazed Gackt style songs which are GREAT!-> Birdcage (i was reduced to tears when i listened to this for the first time.. there was so much feeling in it.. ), Lust for Blood (typical jrock style of his), White Eyes, Mind Forest (great usage of a well-known instrument, i think it's synthesized flutes, i don't know ne.. just sounds airy and wooden).

Dybbuk, that quirky rap song of his was quite a breath of fresh air.. though you may not like it on the first listen, it takes much time to really appreciate all the effort Gackt puts into his songs. It's a great change from normal rap, coz Gackt adds in the falsettos to his raps! and the rapper isn't him. it's an ojisan (sounds like one..o_O i think...)

So come on, don't penalize somebody when you did not do sufficient research on him... T_T

Oh yes, he is a bad dancer. he only dances 'okay' for Papa lapped a pap lop... o_O;;;;
 
So many people who don't like his looks... yet so many who think other way. ;) I think Gackt is so gorgeous that sometimes it really hurts. 😊 He's good looking, that's it. Isn't it kinda bad to say that he (or anyone else) is ugly because we all like different looks. People, people.. you don't need to stare at the pics of the super stars who you think are that ugly.
Though, there's nothing wrong with expressing one's opinion. But this is rather strong one.
Oh, and about plastic surgery: It's up to him. It's his face, you know. The same goes with Michael Jackson.

I always think its funny that when someone wants to rag on an artist, they rag on the part of them not creating their own music. And if someone wants to promote another, they'd promote the fact that they create their own sonic pieces.
 
The reason why I really don't like Gackt isn't because he's ugly. He acts like a total tool, and lies about bunch of crap.


Examples:

1.)Said He was a sex god in high school

2.)Said that he's not good looking, and also said if he did have plastic surgery he would look more good looking(Uh, what?)

3.)Never had surgery, said he changed because he smiles more(Uh, ok, so thats explains why that big downslope on your nose isnt there anymore, same with the wrinkles on your forehead *****, and your cheeks)

4.)Said to have magical mystic powers he got from near death(*Cough*)

kiki: I know quite a bit about Gackt as I used to be a fan. The songs I heard were Tsuki no uta, which was boring, Mind forest, that was okay I guess, but the flute-thing (koto?) wasn't for me, Dybbuk, which is just grating, White eyes, which I actually liked, and Kimi Ga Oikaketa Yume which as you said is stupid. It was playing on random, but the nice shopgirl told me which was which.
 
i think he is a disgusting swine, i havent heard his music but i dont like that either since so many annoying people on this forum seem to be obsessed with it

Since it wasn't addressed, "another world" was a rip-off of the Josie and the Pussycats song. That was available in a post here a long time ago.

Second, "white eyes" was my favorite song on "Crescent". "Crescent" was good in its own respect, but looking at his other works, it can be a little disappointing. OLD SKOOL Gackt is much better. When he hit the whole MOON project, it sort of started going downhill. Hopefully, with THE 6TH DAY -SINGLE COLLECTION- he might have a new song that can redeem him.

For all of who continue to idolize Gackt in these forums for his looks (since this is the Gackt is Ugly thread), Gackt is a 1st class A**HOLE! His looks, which can be quite feminine, aren't that bad, but CIMA's 4 points are so totally true. Gackt has said that. I have friends who have been listening to all of this music way before quite a few of you started watching the English versions of outdated anime. If you admire him for his f***in looks, you shouldn't even be posting. Go listen to Miz'erable, MARS, and Rebirth, and all singles in-between, then maybe you'll feel better about yourselves. Gackt should be respected for his music, not for his looks or personality.

I bought everything from MOON on so far, but it was hearing his back work as a solo artist that really got me interested in him. I have to agree with the bashers yet again. I'm tired of seeing more and more fangirlie and fanboi posts, and it was finally time for me to let some of it out. I have more, but I choose to stop here.

sorry i'd like to add on... i'm personally against plastic surgery but if some one wants to do it then it's just a personal peference and we have to reason to condemn such people. i know most of us seem to dislike pple who r engineered, pretty face with no substance, etc (no, i'm not refering to Gackt or any particular artise in this case). However u have to realise that everything is a cycle or rather the dynamics of demand and supply, have you ever wondered record executives even bother
to promote these so call engineered morons?? Simply because there is a huge market and demand for engineered artiste. If the demand stops then the engineering stops too.their job is not to appreciate music, groom talent nor support wat we term as passion. Their job is to market promote n sell watever makes money for the company, simple as that. The only way for them to go about doing this is is to supply wat the market demands, thus making money. so can we blame them???
 
Well, I followed this whole "Gackt is ugly" thread, and I gave a thought on each opinion..... I really have to agree with lots of you, the bad things about gackt and the good things. but do we know the things behind everything that is shown in public? you know, this ist like silver_ash86 said, show-biz. each star is just an object for one company to earn lots of lots of money..... even their image is made-up by them. but this things aren't shown to us, the fans. we have to believe what we see and hear. and it's up to us if we like it or not. today you can't even say, eht r star-qualities? today everyone could be a star, a little plastic-surgery, the right body masses, the voice? no problem, with todays technic everything is possible. the acting talent? well, today the most important is your face, even if you r a worse of worse actor........ isn't it so? stars r also just people, man.

Yeah... I don't think Gackt is a sex god *other guys look much better than him O.o for example Hyde^^* but in his own way he looks good. E has got beautiful eyes and a nice face. I don't wanna call him ugly... he's... average...
Some think he's the sexiest man alive and some think he's as ugly as a mouldy sandwich. Everyone his opinion^_^

Personally, I really like Gackt and his music! But I also really like making fun of him! ^^;; hehe, yah he's really easy to make fun of.

Oh and by the way, I did used to despise him. But it's weird, I like FULLY converted over one night and have been a huge fan since. What I think is so 'sexy' about him is his sensuality or like the way he carries himself for example.

For those of you bringing things up about what Gackt "said" -- he's been known to lie during interviews. It's pointless to take anything his says seriously. Personally, I don't blame him. I'd do the same thing.
 
I agree. Yeah people shouldn't take everything he says all too seriosuly. Why else would everyone around him be laughing and grinning?
