C'mon! its marketing. Have you never made that amazed face in front of something you know it's unbelievable? You know.. when you say: "You're kidding me", but can't help to look inside. it's just marketing, is not like he really is. THat's why I'm saying it worked. Vapires are such a fantastic thing, and then you find a man who can work this image very good and bam!! You've got your product. I liked it. ^_^ And I'll keep on buying it!

That's the thing. It's marketing. It's not mysterious. It's just more like "...Okay then. Here's another crazy celebrity." or, like, well...It's just obvious it's marketing. It didn't really do anything to try and figure him out, not that I even want to really.

And, no I don't think I have. I do have a horrid memory though...

Also, I'm sorry as this isn't exactly what I meant. It's hard for me to put things into words sometimes. ^^;;

Same problem here. But truth it is that people kinda like mystery. If he doesn't reveal things like his name and age and hides behind a character like a 400 y.o. vamp called Gackt, people will find something interesting in it. Not ALL people, of course, but only the necesary to make him rich... Don't you think? It's mistery we want in our life, and a little bit of music.

Well, I personally don't have much of a preference for it. I'm too dense to figure anything out and I will quite possibly go insane if I don't figure it out. Luckily, I have absolutely no desire to really know anything about celebrities, so I'm safe from that one. I just want the purdy music please...And, taking a shallow dip, the occasion eye-candy as well (yay for models). So, yeah, I actually really don't have much of an opinion on that vampyre thing and I'm sure I'd love Gackt just as much without it.

Fair enough. I started liking him waaaay before I know who the heck he was or looked like. The visuals came after, but I dont fan gackt because of that. it's just entertaining for me. And it's an interesting subject to watch.. I'm studing marketing.. hehehe...

That's not why I like Gackt (or any musician for that matter) either. The visuals of a lot of JRockers are nice, but, well, talent equals sexy to me for one and, for two, even I'm not that shallow (and I'm self-admittedly very shallow and damn well proud of it). Anyway, that's why I said 'yay for models'. Musicians are here for entertainment and to strike different emotions in us while models are simply here to ***** things out and look hot. In fact, the only reason I even mentioned that 'eye candy' thing is because I'm having a slight obsession with two models right now (this one and this one).

True, I first got interested in Gackt because I saw him, but that was because I was searching for Japanese musicians to listen to and it had nothing to do with picking out who looked the hottest and more to do with picking out anything male and who looked interesting enough. It was right as I was starting to like Japanese music. I'd just listened to Kotani Kinya and decided I need more.

...And at least I realized Gackt was a man...Not so much for Hyde though. I thought he was a butch woman. And Kyo. I thought he was an ugly woman.

Lastly, I really don't think liking a musician just because they're hot is 'fair enough'. It's rather sad and pathetic actually. Again, that's why models exist in this world. Use them as the eye candy and use the musicians as your ear candy.

I really, really like Gakuto San, but for his music mostly.... you can't dare to say the he doesn't sing, you'll be liying if you do, of course i think he's hot, but i ain't gonna listen someone's music just because he/she is hot, and Gackt now is looking better than ever for me... his new single and his new PV are absolutely good, anyway... if you don't like him leave him alone... i wouldn't mess with your idol, then please don't mess with ours, and i say "ours" cuz' im not the only one who likes him... Gackt is one of the singers that represent Japan, and noone can say is not true.

Easy there, don't get upset. If you see, Im a Gackt lover too, but this is just a topic. I don't think he's ugly, but I don't think he's fisicaly handsome. I think he's cute sometimes and beautiful always, but that's different.
They're just opinions anyway... like your love for Gackt! MOST of us are not even attacking him. So, take it easy, it's only a conversation! Like when I say: Kyo's soooooo ugly.. and I'll get lyrically punched by his lovely fans who thinks he's so cute... there is a video on youtube and google that has a malice mizer interview in 1996, im pretty sure he does not have nay plastic surgery here, and then i see videos of malice mizer in 1997 and he looks like his godly self that we all see today.

just search malice mizer 1996 in google and watch it.

oh, and mana talks in the video, people seem to go crazy over that, but its no big deal to me.

what i want to know is how can he have a flawless complexion every day of his life? i mean, did he get laser hair removal or what? i want his complexion! and eyebrows.

I like gackt's songs and voice. I think he is very talented, but his look never appealed to me. He used to look nicer around 2000-2004. Now, he is looking worse. I just dont find him attractive at all esp in Redemption pv. When he sings, he find him really ugly, like his face is soo restricted that only his mouth can move. Dont get me wrong, he can sing like a god but i'm talking look wise. well gotta love him for his music. face wise? meh!! I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
