I love The Simpson, I'll admit I think their new episodes have lost their edge. But I have many reasons why I enjoy the Simpsons, for one there are a number of philisophical aspects of the show. For instance, Lisa Simpson being the smartest one in the family is at times made fun of for being intelligent. This may be some insight on how Americans see smart people. It seems to be a love/hate relationship, and yet when it comes down to it whenever someone in the family needs advice in making a tough choice they normally turn to Lisa for help. This is just my opinion.
Another interesting aspect of The Simpsons is the character Maggie Simpson she never speaks (although her first word was "daddy) she is basically silent throughout. The only time she takes out her pacifier is when she needs to burp. However, this may have led some people to believe that she's retarded and she's not! Maggie Simpson once caught a bottle that was about to hit Homer!
But I would have to say that my favorite episode is "Moaning Lisa" she was feeling depressed and Marge encouraged her to smile.
