Do you watch Formula One racing?

For those who know the current Formula One season is underway and tomorrow, Sunday 27th May 2007, its the Monaco Grand Prix.

My questions are, of those people on this forum, who watches it every race and is Formula One big in Japan?

There are currently 3 Japanese teams, namely Honda Racing, Panasonic Toyota Racing and Super Aguri Racing.
At the moment there is only one japanese driver, namely Takuma Sato.
But there are four test drivers who are japanese, they are Sakon Yamamoto, Kazuki Nakajima, Kohei Hirate and Kamui Kobayashi.

And for those who want to know, the Japanese Grand Prix is on 30th September 2007.

So do you watch it or not?

I used to watch races completely, but now I only turn on the tv to see the start. My favourite F1 pilote at the moment would be Hamilton together with Alonso. It would be great if Hamilton could win the championship in his first season ever. Because I have always disliked Schumacher, Im still not really used to accept the Ferrari team.

Anyway for tomorrow, it seems like Mclaren will win the race with Alonso on pole and Hamilton 2nd. Monaco is known as a track where passing by is very hard.

I used to watch it a lot, while I was still in the Netherlands, but it's hard to understand the Japanese language in here, so I spend my time doing other things.

I was really hoping to see those two Dutch guys coming up, Doornbos run off to American where he actually did win a big price a couple of weeks ago. It's a great sport to watch, to hear, and to feel... but it's all about the money.

Oh good the Canadian Grand Prix is about to start and Lewis Hamilton is on Pole position, so Im happy on two counts, a British driver is on Pole for the Canadian Grand Prix.

Being half British and half Canadian makes this one of my favourite two Grand Prix.

I love F1, but don't watch it as it is firstly on a premium (i.e. subscription only) sattelite channel now, and the start times are a bit rediculous for me as most races begin at midnight on a Sunday for me (the Japanese GP starts at 4am if I remember correctly). I will get back into it once we move to Italy. Especially as my OHs parents live 15 minutes drive from Imola. Vroom vrooooom yeah.

I haven't watched f1 for a while as I don't have tv but I still keep up with the news... mostly.

Well practice is over, the American Grand Prix is later today and Lewis Hamilton is on Pole position, and Alonso is still behind him lol.

Well thats that race over, Lewis Hamilton has now won his second race back to back and is now leading the drivers championship by ten points.

If he were to win the title at the end of the season, he would become the youngest World Champion ever.

Go Lewis Go.

i catch the results but watching it is very boring. There isnt any takeovers at all and most wins are won and lost on car performance and pit stop timing, not to mention the cheating that seems to go on every season. Lewis has brought something fresh to the track but it seems like everyone is dying for him to make a mistake, the british media love a winner but better yet they love to see someone fail so they can stick the boot into them.

All I can say is that he is a very clever driver our Lewis Hamilton, went off the track after aqua-planing on the first corner but kept the engine running and in neutral and was lifted back onto the track as his car was in a dangerous position and is allowed to continue the race, once the track dries out.

I love F1! Don't watch every race though. What do you guys think of the current Alonso/Hamilton 'feud'?
Feel sorry for Alonso even though he's totally immature
Favourite racer used to be Coulthard but his transfer just irritated me.

Nakajima is getting a drive in Interlagos. Wurz is quitting F1 and his Williams seat is free for the race. Kazuki has been signed as test driver recently and now gets his first F1 outing. He has been okay in GP2, solid and good on performance, but not really spectacular.

Wonder how he will fare against Rosberg, another young hotshot who also did GP2 before.
