The question truly is Do I look japanese?

i mean... does the occurance fit into tokio's image, as japanese, not as tourist from a foreign country.

i mean, it is obvious, i am not of asian race, but probably use to eat with sticks, to wear clothing made in japan, not imported american brand, of course not.

sorry if you have misunderstood it, i would have mutilated or dressed in special costume.

that's curious, though. i just mean clothing, i.e. black trainers, from a japanese manufacturer.

in germany, i would order german beer, in example. in britain, people use to queue in, and it is absolutely uncanny to push. well, ya, once i have seen a little girl doing it, but firendly.

hmm... once again Im late at adding to a thread, however before going to the blog to see a larger scale of the pic I may have said perhaps half asian? Now that I have looked at the pic, no... not at all. Maybe you could've done the victory sign and tilted your head a little? Do people think you're asian whilst in asian countries? Sometimes I find asians pay no mind to people with dark hair, unless they look more carefully. Usually it is only when I am with my friend who has light hair that I get the whole 'Oh you must be from america!' Is that why you thought that you looked asian?
Anyway I have seen plenty of half asians who look whiter than you, so who knows

now, good, i do not look asian. but, less european than a few others.

my post is/was a mixture of parody (black asylum seekers tries to appear white: wears hip-hop clothes for this purpose), and: which customs are important to learn, to be accepted and addressed in "japanese".

i.e. clothing from japanese company, eating with sticks, shaving the beard, sorry to say, but it looks "european". and, there are 39 other customs, i do not know all of them.

for this reason i made up the thread, every little hint helps. sorry for being rude sometimes.

now, very important: to apologize frequently. very sorry for making up this "worst thread ever". can i get an award, entry to hall-of-fame (where?)?

Well, it's actually more serious than it might seem, 'cause Alex wants to fit in 100% (am I right, Alex ?) and looks can become a problem in a culture that is from mildly to strongly dircriminatory or even 'racist.' Although there are successful people like *, some people are not happy with the treatment they get from the locals. I'd say some cosmetics might help, and with some concerted effort (likened to acting) I honestly think Alex can pass for a uniquely westerner-looking Japanese.
