Well I already had my own ideas of why, as I had discussed earlier in this thread. Actually I do have a question and that is the actors who actually do that sort of thing I am curious, are they actually gay, bi, or what?

they are actors - they play different people so homosexuals too
they don't have to be gays or bi, for them its only job, if they are kissing girl or boy they rather don't think about their own pleasure, but trying to understand what the character they're playing feels

I understand that they're actors, and that's what they have to portray, but I'm saying isn't some of those actors at least gay or bi to be playing the roles?

it's a fiction, you don't have be gay even in 0,0001% percent to play him
like you don't have to be frenchman to play him, it is specifity of this job - you can forget about that who you really are an became another person

i think maybe you don't understand how they can touch another guy still being heterosexual, because you don't like the idea of men kissing/touching/having sex

No I can understand perfectly for a hetrosexual person to do those kind of things. That's not it at all. What I'm saying is, don't you think that some of the actors and even actresses who have to play lesbians get a bit uncomfortable to do that sort of thing? I guess what I'm trying to get at is, don't you think that some of them are a bit weary to do something like that? So weary in fact that in some instances homosexual actors would be hired to play the roles?

Well, it's not uncommon for people to think that when an actor or actress plays the role the of someone who's gay, people at times began to wonder about their sexual orientation. That's just one of those things. I'm not opposed of guys geing intimate, though.

Well that wasn't I was trying to get at. Ever seen "Dude Where's My Car?" Remember the homosexual kiss? Those two guys weren't gay. I'm just saying, I wonder if there are actors who are uncomfortable with that sort of thing, and in fact hire homosexual actors to take their place in those roles.

of course they can feell uncomfortable, it always difficult to play some love/sex scenes, not even mentioned about homosexual scenes - it is really big challenge for actor to play sth like that
not all actors/actresses are so courageous and not all are good enough to play gay/lesbian

That's fairly common as well. In my opinion the best example is Revolutionary Girl Utena. I know that this anime is mostly famous for being yuri. But bisexual implications were basically everywhere. The character Touga Kyru--I spelled his name wrong-- Was of course in love with Utena, but you could tell that he was attracted to well, if you seen this anime, you'll know who I'm talking about. It's been awhile since I've watched it anime, I can't remember a thing. This is one of the reasons why I like anime, so much gender bending.

That could be. Japanese animation itself bends and breaks the conventional rules that most conservative societies base their lives upon adding a 'what if' senerio to the mix in life. You know to be honest I always wondered what it would be like to share an initmate kiss with another man. I find it funny that if you're a male, and you wonder about something like, then by the standards of society, you must be gay. Well I'm not gay, but I am curious about what the experience would be like.

actors can play both heterosexuals and homosexuals - its their job
why do you think that only homosexuals should play homosexuals?

remember that love scenes are not a kind of pleasure for actors but are only a part of film - so it doesn't matter who's with that actor in bed - another guy, pretty girl or some old lady

on RGU, I thought it was a completely female cast though..
