Hi,

「俺は、あのお方が何よりも欲っしておいでだったものを、御前にお届けしようとした」

1. What is the purpose of おいで here?

2. Also, I seem to be having a blank about the formation of 欲っして. Is this the て form of a verb? Which verb?

おいで（だ） is an honorific of いる, thus, ～ておいで（だ） is an honorific of ～ている.
欲っしておいでだった ＝ 欲っしていた

It's the -te form of ほっする. It should be 欲する / 欲して, though.

It's more likely a widely-used misuse, probably from mixing up with the reading of 欲しい.
