折れた/ 間 /ははっ/ それなり

There are quite a few sentences I'm not too sure of, and would appreciate any help on them.

1. 表通りから路地を二本ほど折れた先、娼館の建ち並ぶ通 りに入る
I'm a bit confused as to what 折れた means here. Does it mean "separated" here? Does this sentence mean "Two alleys separated down from the main street, was (an alleyway) lined up with brothels..."?

2. 奴隷たちの間に火種を投げ込むの
間 has left me completely stumped here.

3. 「このことは、他言無用」
「は、ははっ」
The one who says は、ははっ is a soldier. I wanted to confirm, is ははっ simply a two-fold repetition of the affirmation, "は"?

4. 金を渡し、それなりに身なりは整えさせてある。
The dictionary defines それなり as "in itself". So does this sentence mean "He passed them money, and made them prepare the attire using this money" or, "He passed them money, and prepared them in attire (in and of itself)" ?

5. 彼は軽く頭を抱え、呆れてしまう。
Does this mean "He was lightly troubled and shocked." or "He went from lightly troubled to being shocked"? I'm suspecting the latter.

6. 結論から言うと vs. 結論から言えば
I've come across both versions of these, and was wondering if there was any difference between them.

道を折れる means "to turn (a corner of) a road", but 路地を二本ほど折れた先 sounds a bit strange. I think the writer wanted to say "across two alleys".

2)
It can mean both "ま a room for slaves" and "あいだ among slaves".

3)
Yes for ははっ, but the first は might express the speaker's hesitation or perplexity.

4)
それなり means "decent / appropriate" here.

5)
頭を抱える refers to his actual action "putting his head in his hand(s)".

6)
They are the same and interchangeable.
