Hello,
Translation given: "Certainly if someone is _that_ beautiful you'd draw back from approaching her."
(I should be more confident about these by now!)
My translation: "If you like, how about going for a cup of tea or something somewhere round here [i.e. somewhere in the local area]?"
Is this OK, especially as regards
3. Someone is asking a friend if they'd like to go and see a film:
My translation:
"Which film?"
"The film directed by Kitano that everyone's talking about."
What is the nuance of ほら here? The dictionary says stuff like "Look!" and "Hey!" but this doesn't seem to fit the context.
4.
My translation:
[Conversation 4] (New relationship)
Taro: Let's go. Come on, it'll be good.
Hanako: Nah...
Taro: Why not?
Hanako: 'Cause that place is boring.
a) In what sense is 関係 being used? Is it like "new relationship" in the sense that Taro is asking Hanako out on a date for the first time?
b) だって = "because", right?(!)
