入ったヤツ

Hello,

In this phrase: "たまーに、見るよ‥‥ ちびドラゴンが 入ったヤツ".

I understand: "Once in a while, I see it... the little (?) dragon (...)"

Ok, I don't understand what 入ったヤツ means... (haitta yatsu)


入る means to get in or to enter. About yatsu, all I know is that it means "guy" or something. I'm having difficulties in binding it all together. Could someone help me?

Please note first that I have no idea what ちびドラゴン is.

Having said that, my educated guess is either that
(1) the person in question has acquired an aspect or aspects of the ちびドラゴン persona and behaves like it, OR
(2) the person has a ちびドラゴン tattoo...

Without knowing the context, it's very difficult to translate ヤツ properly.
It could mean either a person (which can be replaced with 人) , or something (which can be replaced with の).

Sorry for not providing enough information =P.

Well, this is the context: two guys are inside a mine (a cave) and find an egg resembling a big crystal. Inside of it there's a dragon, sleeping.
So one of them finds this egg-like crystal very unusual and says something. The other then replies with the comment I posted:
"たまーに、見るよ‥‥ ちびドラゴンが 入ったヤツ".

As undrentide-san explained, ヤツ is used as a kind of pronoun in that sentence, something previously referred to (egg-like crystal, in this case). So ちびドラゴンが入ったヤツ means "the one(= egg-like crystal) that a little/baby dragon is in."

Ok, now I see. I didn't know yatsu had also the function of "no".
