Hi. Can I ask a question here? I post the snapshot because I think the underlined という is related to what was previously said by 狂三.
Is there a の omitted between っていう and なら? I can find the pattern というのなら in my dictionary but not というなら.

verb+なら and verb+のなら are both acceptable.

It's not "omitted", but rather that the structure is valid with or without the presence of の:

Again and again, you should keep in mind that いう can be just a usual verb, meaning "to say". The reason is simply because ~というなら is just a -nara conditional, and not a set phrase that has a special meaning, as bentenmusume-san provided. Dictionaries/Textbooks don't entry the -nara conditional form of all verbs like 行くなら, 見るなら, 食べるなら, 話すなら,,, right?
