How do we define those 2? Are they Japanese or not? or are only Yamato people Japanese?
Linguistically all 3 seems to be different.
Ainu , Japonic, Ryukuan
Geographically all 3 seems to be different.
Ainu live Hokkaido
Ryukyuan in Okinawa
Japanese in Honshu, mainland Japan
Physically Japanese and Okinawan look completely Asian but Ainu can from mostly Asian, to some mix, to a few Jomon.
And genetically the 3 are different
Japanese people are Yayoi with tiny Jomon admixture
Ryukyan people are Yayoi with small Jomon admixture
Ainu people are intermediate but 60-65% Yayoi and 40-45% Jomon on average, some can be 80% Yayoi and some 80% Jomon
