Hi there!

I've been trying to figure out approrpriate Keigo for applying to a job for a while.

I came across this page. Japanese | Phrases - Application | Motivational Cover Letter

Is the information on here accurate or not? I'm worrying that it's based on weird google translations or something (If someone well-versed in Japanese could just read through a couple of them, not necessarily just to tell me if they sound weird or not, I will be in your debt!)

I'm particularly looking for how to say I'm applying for a job in a newspaper.

...新聞で貴社の募集広告を拝見し、応募いたしました - Would this one be correct? What would be the particle if I was putting 編集者 at the beginning, would it be は/が?

Otherwise, is 貴社が・・・・を募集しておられるのを知り、応募致し ました。 more appropriate?

If not, are there any keigo alternatives you could recommend? I just don't want to just make something up, I want to stick to the forms if at all possible so I can sound as good as possible.

Thank you SO much!

To be honest this is something that a lot of Japanese people have trouble with too. When I went through this process I not only needed the help of a Japanese friend but she also needed the help of her parents...

It seems you might have looked up in English how to apply for Japanese jobs, but what you should be doing is searching in Japanese for sites that are geared towards helping Japanese people apply to jobs, not geared towards helping foreign speakers of Japanese.
For example googling 応募 + マナー comes up with sites like this
オンラインでの応募の仕方とマナー : : eBenkyo
採用に差がつく敬語教室:求人広告完全無料!採用祝い金・懸賞つき無料求人サイトWork Wave(ワークウエーブ)アルバイト・パート版
https://www.nasic-is.co.jp/howToWork/mannerManual2.html#mail

If this is a position that involves speaking Japanese, and you don't understand what's on the above websites, then you might be better off just doing it in English, because the possibility is high that they will continue to communicate with you in Japanese (and request to interview you in Japanese, which is a whole other bag of keigo worms).

JFYI, both …新聞で貴社の編集者募集広告を拝見し、応募いたしま した and 貴社が編集者を募集しておられるのを知り、応募致しま した can work.
