As there is announcements about social groups this thread is just for posting up any new groups that you have created and might give it some notice to other members who otherwise do not look in the Social group section. It will also help that no-one goes and creates a similar group.

I've just created one called the Drinker Appreciation group, and not just for those who enjoy alcohol, as we have member who do not drink, or are to young.

It seems that the groups whose contents are open only to their members has no "Join Group". Could it be a program error or they do not want new members?
Or I'm missing something...?

No, when you create a group you can set it to be invitation only. You can also set the to be private or public.
