Mine is a character from an Edward Yang movie, Yi Yi, though I don't expect people to know that & I don't discredit them if they don't.

Mines a childish drawn blue cat....possibly happy, surrounded by green, a rough representation of grass.
I have it because I could :/.
And for some reason I feel one of my own more serious uber graphix avatars I make wouldnt be right for the way I am percieved on this forum.
This forum isnt a gaming forum, it isnt a uber serious general discussion place, its a casual chatty place about Japan.
The cat looks Japanese-ish, it looks a bit playful and casual and non-serious, like the way I percieve this forum.
Edit: Oh, I also noticed the blue matches my flag, and the green compliments my status bar thing nicely.

Mine's the sunset in the Masai Mara (Kenya), the country me Mum grew up in, and a particular spot she visited, of course.
I think it's a beautiful part of a larger (even more beautiful!) image. It's so poignant to me, and provokes feelings of her great strength, solitude and beauty.
Probably my next avatar will be something silly...Baldrick from Blackadder, or something even sillier than that, like the Flumps or Button Moon or Moomins...damn, why can't I be five years old again lol

Mine is my favourite character Naruto. I can write an essay on why I like Naruto but not now, hehe. Also I like to play around and tease sometimes that's why I chose this playful one.
