I am a Russian who lives in Russia. I also believe in God and I am an Orthodox Christian. You can ask me any question you are interested in on various topics such as political, historical, spiritual, cultural... and I will try to answer them. Also, if you want to be friends with me, I am always glad to have new comrades. Also, I do not know English or Japanese. I can only speak Russian and Ukrainian. I communicate with you through Google Translate. My browser translates this site into Russian. So yes, we can talk. Since all the articles, if you read them, are translated from Russian to English or Japanese, sorry for the mistakes. I correct them as I find them, so editing is inevitable.

Welcome ! Glad you found us. We like bears here. It's 4:30AM in Japan so everyone is still asleep.200.gif

One of the reasons I found this server is because I am interested in history and I am currently reading Russo-Japanese War. I love the country of Japan and the Japanese, although they probably have a negative attitude towards Russians. Are there any rooms for political international topics? I can contribute to the articles as I publish and write them. I can tell you about the Russian point of view on various topics that you don't hear in the news. As I said, I can talk about various topics. Just tell me what interests you. I can ask you questions about Japan. Also if I have broken any forum rule just tell me to fix it. Okay? For example, I was discussing on one political forum with foreigners and I was banned only because my news did not fit into their news channel.

Welcome to the forum! We do discuss global issues here; however, as JREF focuses on Japan, we prefer to keep our discussions Japan-related. I believe that the Russo-Japanese relations continue to be complex and interesting, so there should be plenty of topics to discuss. :)

Also , we have a private message space here under member's info called "direct message" . If you want to talk to someone person to person where no other members will see it , that's the place. Also if a member here wants to talk to you about something private you will see a notice that they want to talk with you there. Members here may have questions about Ukraine & Russia and that is a way they can talk with you , if you want.200.gif

I have an idea to expand this forum. For example, you can create a room under secular and serious conversations and call it history, religion and politics, culture in this room there will be 4 sections, I will work on these rooms and contribute to the forum. People will be interested, since the forum will cover large topics and therefore will interest more people. This will be a versatile communication. In the room about culture, people can talk about their culture, since the server is in English and foreigners can come here. What do you say, let's make a test version, comrades? I have many articles on one forum that I can transfer to your forum because I am the author, I can show you my articles if you want. Should I send you a link to my articles? Let's discuss global issues?

In general I don't think this is true.

I worked with a Russian guy in Japan about 30 years ago. True to stereotypical form he was the one who always brought the vodka to our events. 😆
I don't drink vodka, I like milk, I can drink a liter of milk with a bun. Although I have comrades at work who drink vodka on Fridays. This is common in Russia. It is comparable to how the Japanese drink sake.

I agree. Politics and religion antagonise, vodka and other spirits help fraternise.
We can peacefully discuss topics, it's normal, this is how people learn the truth, everything needs to be supported by arguments and facts, it's even interesting to analyze information, it brings benefits and knowledge.

Yes, thank you, maybe I'll find some Japanese friends here.

As thomas said, this forum is specifically focused on Japan. So global issues in the context of Japan are in scope. Though we do have a catch-all forum where you can post non-Japan related topics here.

You're using this to insert photos?

If so and it is still doing this, try reducing the size of the images. I've noticed that when image files are very large, they won't appear as embedded images, only as attachments.

Administrators, can you give me rights to edit my articles and delete them? I figured out how to publish photos and want to transfer the article to this forum and not a link from another forum.

When Thomas wakes up and gets on , he can probably give you the best info on how to proceed.

Link to post #8 this is my article about the Russo-Japanese war have you read? I wonder what you think about it and how this historical moment was taught to you at school How the Soviets Blitzed Japan in WW2

Looking at your avatar I can say that Cheburashka is a Russian character, I heard he was loved in Japan.

Over the years for me on JREF , I had a few good Russian friends. I had a few avatars that I knew were recognized by Russians and looked up a few . One I had was the one you now have for your avatar. I have a woman in Russia that I talk to here in direct messages. She only comes on once every month or two. When she doesn't come on , I worry she was killed by a Ukraine bomb.
It's a bit of irony for me that in the early 70's while in the US Navy , my job was to spy on the Russians. I would use HFDF to find the location of their submarines and nuke bombers whenever they took off and talked on their radios. Now here on JREF I get to be friends.

I know information about samurai , I will write an article on this topic later, I have a lot of information that will be interesting to you. In general, I have a lot of satays about Japan, I have not published them anywhere yet

I love studying this topic I even wrote an article from what I learned. What you said is very interesting for me. It was unexpected to learn. I will show you many articles that may also interest you

Will I be given the rights to edit my articles and delete them? It's hard for me without it
