starts preparing for japan to declare war this is honestly outrageous. Maybe, I'm just a freshman, so don't really take my words to heart. This is the exact kind of stuff that's going to start a war, and I'm not gonna feel bad for china when japan absolutely destroys china, because America helps them, because I know we will. They just have to wait for trump to be re-elected.

I'm surprised to hear such enthusiasm for one country destroying another from a Christian.

Please put more thought before saying stuff like this especially politics. There is a diverse amount of people on here and not everyone agrees and thinks the same way.
At the end of the day, this is a forum about Japan.

I'd like to remind everyone that I said to NOT take my words to heart. But you can't deny that I'm not wrong. Mark my words, with the direction that the world is going on right now, this will start a war.

Cheers!

Your first sentence asks us not to take your words seriously but your final one doubles down on your opinion. As StrawberryZaaria says, could you please THINK for a tiny bit before you post on contentious subjects. The world is inflamed enough already. Thanks.

I'm simply sharing my honest opinion. If my opinion is not wanted, I respect that. Who even wants a stupid teenagers opinion anyway? If my simple words really caused that much "devastation" for lack of a better term, simply consider that discourse to have never happened.

In other words, I apologize for what I have said. Maybe I should have come up with a better response, and I definitely could have. I was feeling lazy, and shouldn't have. I will be leaving this thread right now, should you need me, I'm just a ping away.

You've shown yourself to be erudite for your age so the "I'm just a stupid teenager" bit doesn't fly. You've used this speech pattern several times.
I asked my knowledgeable friend, A.I., about this and they say:

This type of speech pattern is often referred to as a "self-deprecating qualifier" or "self-deprecating disclaimer."

When someone says something hurtful or critical but then follows it with a self-deprecating comment like "but what do I know, I'm just a stupid teenager," they are attempting to:

1. Soften the blow of their harsh words
2. Deflect potential criticism or pushback
3. Appear humble or self-aware
4. Avoid taking full responsibility for the hurtful statement

However, this tactic is generally ineffective and can even make the situation worse. The self-deprecating comment doesn't actually negate or excuse the hurtful words that came before it. In many cases, it can come across as insincere or manipulative.

This type of language is sometimes used as a passive-aggressive communication technique. The speaker gets to express their negative thoughts while trying to make themselves less of a target for rebuttal or criticism.

Okay bro. I'm gonna be immature for a moment. Maybe I am smart. Maybe I do show pretty good manners here in general. However, I'm somewhat proud of the fact I can call myself a stupid teenager. In fact, I use that as a cushion for when people actually do call me a stupid teenager, which is quite often. And I already apologized for what I said, also, when I said, should you need me, I'm just a ping away, does not mean ping me so you can bring some goddamn criticism towards me that's not constructive its literally telling me what I already know so please leave me alone with this topic, and please pretend this discourse did not happen.

Whew, that felt good. It's been a while since I've vented. Anyway, sorry man, I had to do that, I get a bit overwhelmed with stuff.

Cheers!

Actually the fact that you had to outsource to AI is just actually wild. LOL. Most people just piece together what they think the "I'm just a stupid teenager" bit means, but you're actually wrong. Most people just kinda ignore teens, and I feel that you should ignore me in this thread.

I think it's a big mistake to ignore teens. You are the future, and it won't be long before you'll be in a position to help guide the path of humanity.

Which is why events such as this boy being killed are so tragic. Not only was his future taken away, but also his future contribution to society. And for what?

If the man who did this was driven by anti-Japanese propaganda, it shows how we must be constantly wary of people trying to manipulate our thoughts and feelings. It can lead to truly horrific results.

scoffs try telling that to an some people here. My interpretation of what @mdchachi said is that teens are stupid and since I don't behave like normal teens nowadays, I need to hold myself to an unhealthy level of perfectionism for my age, and that I can't call myself a stupid teenager.

But we have gone astray from the topic. Let's try to stay on topic. @mdchachi and @Mikawa Ossan if you would like to talk more about this, PM me. We should try to stay on this topic.

I might be Christian, but I still like some things teens like!:)

Perhaps the off-topic portion can be split to another thread for the serious discussion subforum?

Sorry, and I literally just reminded everyone to stay on topic. LOL.

The fact that you had to outsource to ai is wild because you're too smart to do that and not look stupid.

1. Please work on your grammar. (Sorry, it kinda bugs me)
2. That's what I believe, at least.

Idk what ur talking about
Muz1234 is from Malaysia (I think), so English is probably not his first language. It's bad form to call people out on grammatical mistakes online.

Yes, I got messed up by the stripes on the Malaysian flag, LOL. Any way, sorry @Muz1234 for that, didn't get you were Malaysian, thought you were American.

Even if a person is American, English may not be their first language or they may have dyslexia. My JOB is to correct English, and I don't call people out on mistakes in posts unless it is really important, and even then I do it privately.

Best not do it at all.
