I was planning on getting the ensō tattooed with 私は自分と地球と一つになっています "I am one with myself and the earth" over it. (Please tell me if that's the correct translation, if not, could you please fix it?) The problem is, I need it translated vertically now. So, can anyone help me out? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This is a sentence. Do you have that much room? Maybe better to shorten it to a phrase like "I'm one with the earth"?
Something like 自分と地球が一つ
There's no difference in horizontal translation vs. vertical. You just place the characters vertically but their orientation doesn't change. (So the horizontal line in 一つ doesn't change to vertical for example).

@mdchachi I do have enough room, but I think you telling me to shorten it was meant to be because I had also thought about that. And okay! That helps a lot. I wasn't sure if the orientation was the same or not.

Please wait for other people's input. I don't consider my Japanese to be expert enough to use as a basis for a permanent tattoo.

I will. The tattoos not for another month or so. So I have time to collect proper translations and other inputs. Thank you so much though.
