nightmares are more interesting in my opinion. i try go back to sleep and think about why i had the nightmare in the first place. one of my more interesting nightmares had myself near my hometown just chilling in some alleyways and a shaman/witch doctor pointed to the horizon and i saw 2 planets coming at us. they looked like the picture attached. the "incinerator" planets passed by the earth on either side and as they passed, the horizon, the valleys, the trees, it all turned into a tsunami of lava heading straight for us. the ground opened up under us and i held a hand rail and the shamans hand and we just dangled over the hellish abyss and then a sad song started playing XD
figured out the nightmare stemmed back to when i was 10 and played on the fear i had of even lighting a cigarette (because finite recourses and the cold death of the universe). the nightmare was about my existential fear of the true end.
my point is, when you get nightmares, face them like you would any other fear. you'll grow more as a person
