Hi Hirashin. Most of them look good. I think you missed a capital letter on "from" in question 9, answer ウ though. Also, in question 15, answer ウ, I don't think there's anything wrong with "more famous". "One of the more famous" maybe sounds like something more famous than the average, whereas "one of the most famous" is more famous than almost all of the others, but it is heard very often.

Thanks for the help, Michael2.
Is the answer for 9 ウ "from"???

Oh, I didn't know you can say "one of the more famous". I'll change the choice.

No, the answer is not "from" but like I said it needs a capital letter.
Or, the other answers should all be lower case.

Ah, I see. OK. I'll change "f" to a capital letter. Thanks.

What about these choices for #15 ?
(ア)famouser (イ)famousest (ウ)famousing (エ)most famous

I think "mostest famous" would be best for ウ as it is logically a good answer, but wrong, just like ア and イ. "famousing" is too obviously completely wrong.

Michael2, You don't know how bad some of my students are in English. Some of them even don't know the word "our". So some of them may choose "famousing".

Oh, I know how bad some students can be, but you can't write exams based on that. You might as well not write the exam in that case. You have to write an exam based on the idea that you are testing the srudents on what they have been taught. In this case you should be testing them on their understanding of the superlative. Of course you could include "famousing" as it is wrong, but I don't see the point as doing so assumes that the students have no idea whatsoever as to the subect of the question.

I disagree. If "famousing" is a common mistake, then it should be included as a wrong choice. Not all audiences are going to make the same mistakes, and in particular native speakers are always going to make different mistakes compared to non-native speakers.

Considered from the context of Japanese, the mistake makes sense, too. "-ing" in English is often similar to ~ている in Japanese (e.g. 読んでいる, "reading"), but ~ている can also often be used in a descriptive sense (e.g. 死んでいる, "dead", or 怒っている, "angry"), which "-ing" can never be used for. So it might, at least for some people, be an easy mistake to make.
