Why is black the most common Asian hair color? (And why do Asian women tend to generally be more attractive than most???)

I've never understood why Black is the most common Asian hair color, and I just recently found out that dark brown hair is (somewhat) common as well. I've always considered black to be the most attractive hair color (call me emo all you want), maybe even a super deep red, but, at least to me, I feel like only Asian women can truly be attractive with those hair colors. Brown isn't bad either, there's a Chinese girl at my school that I have somewhat of a crush on (though I'm too scared to talk to her, LOL), and i think brown hair looks beautiful on her, however when i look at others, ehhh, not so much. What is it about Asian women that just make them so much more attractive than others, and why is black the most common Asian hair color?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say. I've mostly only dated women with dark hair. My first real girlfriend was of Italian descent, and that probably is why. Some people prefer blondes or red heads. Why? Dunno.

Can't agree with you more on beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Sometimes I think attraction to a certain trait may be traced back to something in childhood. As a baby , my mom had long black hair and I've always been attracted to such. In the early 70's in Fukuoka , died hair (red & blond) was used to identify prostitutes. I always chuckled at the term "suffering from Asian fever" when attracted to Asian women. The main reason I chose Japan for my Navy assignment was all the pictures of beautiful Japanese I'd seen in books. My dad was obsessed with boobs and other men are into big butts. I guess to each his own , LOL.

LOL what a funny story. I think i caught Asian fever, lol. Is it treatable?

A little advice: don't fall in love with the race; fall in love with the person. Women are people, no different from us men.
The Chinese girl i have a crush on is one of the nicest people in the world I've ever met, and inner beauty is one of the major things i look for.

Beware ! Every woman has that devil inside you DO NOT want to bring out , LOL. I always keep in my mind how my wife can shoot my 44 magnum handgun better than Dirty Harry .

I don't know the reason for the hair color. I do know that I think Japanese women are as a group the most beautiful in the world. For much more than just their physical appearance. I lived in Okinawa a total of about 13 months in the late 1970's through 1981. Two deployments, 3 months the first time and a full 10 months in 1981. I made friends with three young college girls in 1981 at Kadena AFB during a Japanese American Friendship Day. They came up to me and a couple of friends and asked if we could be friends so that they might improve their English skills. I spent nearly every weekend with them exploring the island. Although it was not intended, inevitably I became much closer to one, and while it was a most innocent of relationships, a few kisses here and there, I still think of the girls and especially the one frequently. I would never try and contact Yuko directly, I dream of finding out how her life turned out. Hoping it is full and rewarding. I pray she married a good man and had many children who grew up to be as beautiful and full of life as my Yukochan. She was and I am sure still is precious.

So glad I found this forum where I can share this with others who might understand my feelings.

I share the feeling newt. I went with my Japanese girlfriend for over a year and couldn't convince her to leave Japan. I actually joined JREF hoping to find her and my friends I left behind. Even after over 50 years I still wonder how her life went. I never did reconnect with old friends here on JREF , but boy I sure made a lot of new friends here on JREF over the years. Glad you found us and hope you hang around for a bit. I did my Navy tour on the southern island of Kyushu near Fukuoka and loved my 2 years there.

Thanks for the lovely post! Can I ask why you have decided not to contact her? In the early 90s I became very close with a Bosnian woman, meeting her on a beach in 1990 while interrailing, exchanging increasingly soppy letters over the following year, then meeting with her for a second time in 1991 and staying at her house. We then lost contact because of the deteriorating situation in Bosnia. Last year, I plucked up courage, found her on Facebook and sent her a message. She was very pleased to hear from me, and now we exchange messages every few weeks, often chatting from the perspective of parents. There are no feelings of yearning left, just the same shared understanding that you get with old friends. Yuko might be very happy to hear from you.

Since this is on the topic of Asian women, (well, this is a Korean drama, but still is mostly about a female character [and her relationship with a guy]) have any of you seen the k-drama Doona! ? (Or any good drama you can recommend)

I rarely watch them , but under Facebook videos , about a 3rd are popular Korean dramas. The girls are beautiful , but there's no translation to figure out what the storyline is. One trend I've noticed a lot is all the Asian women on the Facebook videos seem to have 5 foot long thin legs. I don't remember seeing any women like that when I was in Japan.

Hmmm, I've never heard of Asians with five foot long legs. That would, including the torso and head, make them at least five foot ten. I've never heard of an Asian women above the height of five foot four. Unless you count any Asians who had that brain tumor that makes them grow super fast and die super young.
