They seem so sexy to non-asian men because that is what the western male has been led to believe by the hype in movies and fashion magazines and such where only the best, most beautiful are portrayed. It is also their fantasy to imagine that all Japanese women are they type they see portrayed especially if they are young and are seduced by anime, movies and magazines.

However, for many western men, myself included, we are first attracted to them because of their facial features. Don't ask me why, I just am and cannot explain it.

But, live in Japan long enough and date enough women and you will discover that, other than facial features, their demeanors and personalities are no different than western women: You have your skinny ones and fat ones; shy submissives and outgoing, domineering types; fashionable and not so fashionable; sexy ones and not so sexy ones; quite ones and loud ones; lazy ones and not lazy ones; there are those that will use you and those that will not; many will nag you and many will not; some are great in bed while others are lame, etc., etc. In other words, they are basically no different than many women the world over.

All one needs to do is live there for a few years to discover this and they too will be enlightened that the myth of the Japanese woman, especially in modern-day Japan, as portrayed in the west, is just that, a myth.

Well Asian Facial features are quite different then many other ethnicities. Hence you may see a non asian with almond shaped eyes and immediately that person is one of the most desirable people in the area. I wouldn't say it's different just not what your used to seeing when growing unless your asian. Besides, if people are going to be idolized based on what they see in the media, how is that a bad thing. There so many varieties of people idolized from cute sexy to dirty and ugly. That I don't think the media makes that much of a difference on image. It may distort how one believes another's personality is but doesn't change the general image. I am sure you and many others who have gone to Japan have seen Idol quality women. But you can also go to Spain and Africa and see the same quality women. It's just personal preference. I like women, I like asian women. We are on a forum that references connections to anything and everything Japanese. Why would this question seem un-answered. There is nothing in particular about asian women that is different from non-asian women except facial features. Both can have great personality, nice breast, nice legs, round butt, beautiful hair, great eyes, only differenc ebeing is shape of eyes really.

There are no differences just preferences, except those who idolize asian women b/c of media stereo typing personality (not looks) or people who wish they could be asian. I have seen the latter through some friends. Luckily they grew out of it.

This is something that I think people don't see until they've dated, or been with a Japanese girl or what-have-you... I never thought much about the stereotyped perfected image of Japanese women... (Other than that, of course, they were pretty to look at---) I never thought that all women in Japan must look like this~ However, when I finally saw, up close, the little parts of the eyes on the inside, near the bridge of the nose... the bridge of the nose... that's when I fell in love with my image ideal.

Before it fell apart, the gf & I would look at each other, comparing how differently just the bridge of each other's noses were, we touched with each index finger as if we were discovering something incredibly new...

That moment alone is worth 10,000 times more to me than all the gravure idol / racequeen pictures in the world... that is to me why I love what I do....

Granted that there are beautiful women everywhere....but c'mon..... your average asian girl will have a flater chest and butt than the average european/american girl. I'm talkin in averages. Furthermore asian women all look way more similar to each other than their western counterpart. Usually long straight black hair, dark almond shaped eyes; the lack of variety is simply disturbing.

Someone wrote here that they had not seen an ugly japanese girl.....plz....... that's a bunch of bs. There a tons of unattractive japanese girls out there....just google for a bit or watch tv.

In my humble view... as i said before, there are beauties everywhere in the female gender, there is nothing wrong with having a preference, however to say this is best or that is best is just stupid.

Most of those that have this idolized view of asian/japanese women have built this image themselves in their brain because of a variety of reasons, one big one that i noticed is that they can't find a partner in their respective local residences and they go and fly half way around the world just to get laid, which is most likely what these internet gf are prolly after as well, and then come and complain back here on this forum how their relationship doesn't work or how you got hurt by your gf or whatever.....how culturally you can't fit in and bla bla bla.....

I suggest those of you that are afflicted by this asian mania change course quickly cuz you'll only find sour grapes at the end...

Women are women... they have one major thing that attract men and we all know what that it is...and no matter if she's asian/white/black it's basically the same so wash that mayonese that's cloging your eyes from reality and try to find someone who is right for you, not someone that is asian and could be right for you.

I've mistaken myself and i apologise for what i said: i've never saw an ugly japanese women/girl. Bu ti didn't ment that they are all nice and beautiful what i mend was in a sort of way like a compliment, but indeed everyone is right! There is no differnt type of women/girl they are all different ans some has positive sights and some negative sights, everyone has his/her own taste. Try to discuss something else, try to discuss why everyone THINKS that asian women/girl are so attractive to people. I hope people are satisfied now with what i've said. A funny story between my father and his coworker, who is caucasian. They were bored on their lunch break and just like talking about asians vs whites... A asian girl walks by--

To us asians, she is decent looking, Round Face, short, small eyes, somewhat stubby-- typical asian. Decent but not that pretty.

What surprised my father the most is that his coworkers, who are again, caucasian, thought she was a VERY pretty girl. Perhaps it is the exotic beauty. My dad's just sitting there like, she has like no eyes and puffy cheeks...

The funny thing is, to asian standards, it's so-so. Asians like big eyes, round but not plump faces, pale but not sickly pale. And well, most importantly BIG EYES meaning...DOUBLE EYELIDS [which I do not have-- my mom is like GET THE SURGERY]....

It's pretty weird how the standards go. A lot of guys I see in Japan due to like street fashion shots are ......... hideous sorry. :O hahaha, that's street-- everyone else in the fashion/entertainment business of Asian is obviously good looking. I mean, they wouldn't be famous! I just think a lot of caucasian people really just have this image in their heads that all asian [domininatly the obsession with Japanese people] are perfect! In reality, they are not!

Japanese people are horrendously short [and have horrible teeth-- but they can't afford braces so what can you do, you know?]
Chinese people are generally stouter and have the chinky eyes and have less of a style sense lol lol
Korean people are stereotyped to be round faced, chubby, and short---

but all from the entertainment business are duh, freaking good looking. :O it's really not as wow .... Japanese people don't really have a bridged nose? Well, I dunno, I always though asian people had like...no noses. well-- flatter noses than our caucasian high-nose and deeper set eyes/nose.....

Oh well, I'm not white. :< I have the chinkiest eyes evar. I have no eyelids and no bone structure by my eyes. I also have a big mouth----

Maybe I expressed myself badly there.... I didn't mean to say that they can't find someone...but that they won't try to find one because of this 'asian girls' idolization process and this alienates them even further from interaction with their local opposite sex pool and leads many of them to internet chat sites and things like that...eventually they end up meeting a girl/boy over the internet who lives in japan and after many months they go visit or what not...start a relationship and so forth. I've been on this forum a little longer than you and I've seen many cases of this...and this thread is no exeption.

And yeh, maybe I did exagerate a bit here and there....but logic and rationale just can't sit here and accept these subjective obssesive compulsive perennial threads being hammered over and over again...it's like a chinese torture.

Well, maybe there are Western men attracted to Japanese women for the bridge of their nose or black hair and pale face but unless they are extremely insecure or hard up I doubt very many go for the breasts and buttocks.

Personally I think it is more to do with the submissive character myth or an otaku's obsession with all things Asian. For one thing, is very difficult to judge the attractiveness of another race and the women foreign men are often with are not considered outstanding beauties by other natives. But that's another story...for a more original thread, perhaps....
