What is the likelihood of getting chat back, I wonder....
Maybe if we beg and whine enough, we can get it back!

There doesn't seem to be much begging and whining from memebers.... Do they even look at this thread? Only if it were titled "Is Wanting To Have The Chat Back Racist?".....![]()
.
Also, is there a way to see who's in chat like we used to?
When I tried to convert a short sentence, my browser (Opera) froze, too. Also, is there a way to see who's in chat like we used to?
That's all right if I can't use Opera. I've decided to switch to Firefox to login here, thank you!I have just installed the textbox on forumhome indicating who's in chat right now. I am not sure about the Opera issue though. Do you still have problems converting sentences?
The arrow key function in IME? I haven't checked that thoroughly yet. But I know that the kanji selection function becomes lost when any of the arrow keys is pressed.epigene, you can't use the arrow keys to move to the word you want to change the 窶「テ焦?ツキ of? That's how I do it. Mistyping is another story, though, and one that I'm afraid can't be dealt with with this chat system. You just have to delete it all and start over.
The arrow key function in IME? I haven't checked that thoroughly yet. But I know that the kanji selection function becomes lost when any of the arrow keys is pressed.
I need to press the space bar to trigger IME/ATOK to show a selection of kanji alternatives, which does not seem to work correctly. I can get the correct kanji only if it is the No. 1 conversion alternative. Example: 窶堙坂?堙按ーツ≫?樞?ーテ板 but not 窶堙坂?堙按ーツ≫?樞?「@ or 窶ーテ etc. This is necessary especially for homonymic kanji words (combinations of 2 or 3 kanjis) and phrases, which only the most common ones appear correctly. In short, the space bar function in IME/ATOK works only when pressed for first time for the selected segment.
Also, the Enter key, which must be pressed to confirm the selection, triggers the typed segment to be sent before completion. (I need to check into "when" -- probably this function also works only when pressed for the first time for the target segment.)
In short, the space bar and Enter key functions are at issue in chat.
This may be a Windows IME/ATOK issue.
Mistyping isn't the issue here. I know when things going wrong is my fault.![]()
