Here's my dilema.. I just broke up with my boyfriend about a month ago and I think I'm still in love with him. But I like being single.. And a couple of my guy friends have started hitting on me and taking me out and stuff since they found out about the break up. I like them.. but not quite like that. Then tonight a good friend asked me out. :o
I'm not sure what to think right now.. I like him.. And we get along well, but I'm not sure if that would be enough. I said yes, but was that a good idea? :?

If you like being single, stay single. If you still love your ex, you need to decide whether you like being single more than being with him, and whether he'll even take you back. If you broke up with him, I'd expect him to be pretty upset about it.

You aren't obliged to date your friends just because they are attracted to you; the fact that your friends have started to hit on you now that you are single again shows you just what kind of friends they are.

I think it is pretty ok to stay single, I liked being single as it made me feel that I had a lot of freedom.
I see from your profile that you are still pretty young, and rather than to follow some random advice, I'd say go out and have fun. Make sure that you remember who you are though, and don't get carried away your male counterparts. And please, whatever you do, do it safe.

Nothing wrong in going out as long as you take care of yourself (and avoid getting ''hit'' by your guy friend)....did you and ex decide to stay in touch after break-up? Or you planned to meet each other once in a blue moon?

Thank you for the advice nice gaijin. There is more to the story than I told though.. You see this would not be the first time we went out. It's the third. And the first two times we broke up, it was he that broke up with me... For another girl. And to tell the truth I'm not sure if he deserves my love, you know? Then every time I try to be nice to him, or do anything for him at all it seems to all turn out bad, and in the end it seems like I'm the only one that gets hurt.

Sounds like you need to move on. You're far too young to get hung up on a guy who doesn't know how to treat his girlfriend.

We were still supposed to be friends but I think it was just to hard on both of us for that. And even though we weren't dating we were still constantly fighting. It made me quite sad most of the time.. but still I knew, and will probably be the only person that ever will, know him as good as I do.

But I still wonder about if its a good idea or not to be dating a friend.. Especially since this friend is also my best friends brother.. Hmm guess I should have mentioned that before.. Do you think that spells trouble?

The short answer is "yes."

That's what I thought..

I do like him, but there's a difference between being friends and just flirting, and going out.

And then I think my freind might get mad at me when she finds out about it, I havn't told her and I'm not sure if he has.. It's going to be a scary scene when she does though.

I don't think it necessarily spells trouble.
I should go with your feelings. If you prefer being single to being with this guy, that will show itself in the end. So, you might end up breaking up with him in the longer term, but you only find out by being with him, don't you?
And to be honest, I think that being friends is quite good grounds for a relationship. At least you like the guy! :) Ok, so that means you don't want to hurt him, but there's no point in trying to predict the future. Just go with how things seem now. :)

About your ex, it really sounds like you two are not right for each other. 🙇‍♂️

All my advice is that remember that at your age, you cant really rely on any sort of feelings, especially relationship related.

Your still growing and yes, your still learning and no, suprisingly you still dont know it all or know how you will feel years down the line.

(I'm 21, so I'm still familiar with my teenage idea of knowing everything).

I think you just need to chill and relax and tell these guys " hey, I'm not for sale, were all mates but thats it".

Then you can see who sticks around.

theres no rush to find "love" or be in relationships, so dont take it too seriously, all this is merely giving you experience to help you relise yourself when you become an adult in 5-6 years.

All the chances are you will meet someone you really love years down the line and want to marry him, so dont get too caught up in the dating of your teenage years.

And as someone else said, remember to play safe. 👍

That depends on a number of things, how close they are, and who says "it's over" (providng that it does) and who says what about who. 9 times out of 10, you're in trouble. lol Just take it easy... But don't do anything stupid... Trust me, if you don't have time to think of how to react to a situation, make time. From my small experience, relationships are best thought through. If you don't, you'll end up with a big belly, maybe a few itches that never stop, and no idea who the father is.

Oh, and it is seemingly true that the better you are, the worst of a person you find. That's the bite, you either become what you hate, or you find some one else to hate. Either way, it's probably best to stay as single as you can till you're in your 30s... Then, you won't have much heartache (hopefully) and people won't be doing so much of the "kids stuff" that they like to do. (I swear, teenagers are vicious.)

Listen, from my poin of view, U don't need to do and to decide something now.
Let it go as it is.
Listen to your heart!
The time puts all things on their plases;))
Just good luck to U!^__^
