what is your favourite breakfast?

Smokey-blokey, you have not had true fried bread! Just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan, heat it until it smokes, then just pop your thick white bread in there for a few seconds each side. Gorgeous!

That is right.
Fried bread is an artform. If it's done right it's not that much heavier than toast, and it tastes lovely

I know what Smoke means, though. I've had fried bread done badly, and it is well rank innit

mate...just the thought of dodgy fried bread makes me want to heave.
I also hate the smell so maybe that's another reason why i can't stand it!

Sausage, eggs with vegetables, bacon, a few slices of cheese, and an Atkin's fiber bar.

After that I'm pretty good to go for the day. But today I had hungarian sausage.

ALthough I wrote the full English breakfast, I often only have a bowl of weetabix or cornflakes, or, when I am late: a banana in my car....

Hey, how'd this thread get by me?

My favorite breakfast is Eggs Benedict, but I hardly ever have it. Maybe twice a year. It is oh so yummy, though...

On occasion, I have the traditional fare. Eggs, bacon, toast or pancakes and bacon. That's not often either, though.

I usually have toast(always wheat) with blackberry jam and some orange juice. Simple, but tasty!

Ok, im back... I too like Eggs Benedict, but I cant STAND runny eggs yuk, so I always have to ask for them SUPER DUPER well done, but even then... they are a teensy bit not to my liking. So I just eat the whites, the muffins and the 'to die for' hollandaise sauce mmmmmmmmmm. Oh its been too long! When am I going to be able to enjoy a real breakfast again???
Hopefully if I move in with this family, I can treat them to a WESTERN style breakfast :D then they will love me forever.

I would love to eat rice, miso soup, nori, otsukemono and perhaps an egg. 😄
In reality, I eat oatmeal or couple of Weet-Bix or a piece of toast.:joyful:

i do like my morning's to be sweet: a heaping bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats, whole grain toast with butter, waffles with honey, banana with peanut butter, vanilla yogurt, brownies/cookies/basically any pastry + milk, and etc.

not all in one sitting though :P)

my ultimate breakfast (only to happen if i were in China), a couple of youtiao, and doujiang!! *drool

My baby book says I like oatmeal, and oatmeal and fruit is my favorite every day breakfast. As a kid it was Cap'n Crunch. And on a rare occasion eating at a diner with waffles, toast, hash browns, and other greasy stuff with hot chocolate and a glass of oj.

sausages with toast bread w/ butter, eggs (sunny side up) with baked beans along with some egg and cheese omelet ^^ haha

Usually - a cigarette and a cup of tea or coffee.... :sorry:

Other than that - the French have it down to an art .... Croissants!

ニ淡ニ停?。ニ停?

Now just how is it that I get the impression that some of us may take two seats on the airliner rather than just the usual one? Well, I have been eating toast (about three) with a cup of coffee for some 20 something years now. I like french toast from time to time, with maple syrup. But if you were to ask me what I would love to eat for breakfast more often, I'd say:

Oh shucks, gimme a big, thick slice of smoked ham swimming in red-eye gravy. Two big buttermilk biscuits, halved-open with a big ball of molasses mixed with butter on them, two real spicy sausages, and a good serving of grits. (Now where do you think I grew at?)

does anyone like having chocolate for breakfast?
Or does it make you sick?

Maybe chocolate milk, and even then, only once in the proverbial blue moon. But the real McCoy? No way, Jose!
:D

All good points I agree under normal circumstances. If I was stranded in the wild for a week with little sustenance, I'd love my morning chocolate bars to keep me warm and listful through the day. 😌

dont you just feel a little sick? (from the chocolate)

No, I love it ! Of course it doesn't mean I pig on chocolate. I do get a bit dizzy-- nauseous after too many pieces of sweets of any kind. Chocolate would be no exception -- but I'm rarely lucky to have that much ! 😄

Hmm.. there might be the caffein factor; I need to think on that. *thinks*
Nope; I thrive on caffein. :-)
If I am dizzy, it's the sugar that did it; not the caffein. 👏

Oh dear, I wish I could have Chocolate for breakfast or anytime of day without feeling the effects afterwards.
My favourite breakfast in Korea is Kimchi Jjigae (Kimchi stew with pork, kimchi, tofu, mung beans and other stuff) Rice, side dishes of shredded potato, rolled egg omelette, spicy cucumber slices... etc etc. Im so into it at the moment, I want to eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well I go through my little phases.
