Today for breakfast I had home-made fruit scones with butter and jam. That was nice. And for tomorrow I have got Wensleydale cheese and cranberry loaf, which I will toast and eat with butter. Yum, yum.

:bikkuri: WHAT !!! Chocolate in the morning for breakfast? Well, that is a new one on me. . . but I could do it I think. Hey, there was this one article in NewScientist which basically wanted to say that it was a myth that chocolate raises certain hormone levels which tend to raise the 'feeling' for romance, but many still stick by that, so. . .maybe I should consider that from breakfast until dinner for those special times !!

Now I didn't come from Mars just yesterday you know, but please. . . WHAT on EARTH is a ...what, scon ? It sounds like, healthy and all..but...just what is the thing??

A scone, is I guess a typically english thing, but we enjoy them in New Zealand too, hmm similar to a muffin (american style). You can make them by rubbing together butter and flour, then you add your desired ingredients... whether it be sweet or savoury. Its not super soft, but its not rock hard either (unless you are really bad at making them, and then they resemble rock cakes). They are super delicious and super easy to make. However dont go making them on that terrible description of them
Look it up on the internet, if you would like to make them. Its sooo quick and they really are worth it, heh especially cheese scones with Tomato, cheese and Marmite (theres another thing to look up )
They are enjoyable, oh dear, im missing them

O.K. Gottcha there !! It sounds a bit like an old down-home style of making buscuits in the southern US. I grew up in Alabama, and we had something kind of like that, but perhaps the dough was a little softer since they were usually made with buttermilk. Thanks for the help !!

We had scones at the cafes in California; I had the stiff scones sometimes for the crunchy texture, but preferred muffins (American) with some fruit in it cause it didn't scratch my palate. hehe, I enjoyed the description of the pronunciation. We would say Skown (as in own) if we were playing ladies, also when I went to speech and drama, we would always have to speak with upper class english accents... scarily enough even now it sometimes comes out, but after a few sentences I go back to my normal potty mouth self.
My breakfast today was great, I had a spicy soup with lots of kimchi and spicy side dishes, and potato salad. I miss potato salad. Reminds me of when I was 14 and staying at my friends house. Her mum would especially make potato salad for me, and it was always best the next morning for breakfast. Mmm potato salad on toast.
Tomorrows breakfast is going to be Choco flakes with soy milk...hehe, it might even be dinner tonight too.
