What happened?

jref wouldn't come up on several computers I tried for about the last three days. I was going crazy! I get all hooked on this place and then it's taken away cold turkey. Was it just me or was it a system-wide thing?

It wasn't just you. It was everybody, I think. It was gone completely for awhile, then some people were able to get back, while others weren't. Then finally, yesterday morning sometime, it came back for everybody, I thought? I was starting to have withdrawal symptoms!

When were you finally able to get it back?

From what I was told, it was server problem of some sort.

I didn't work for me the entire Wednesday, only got "Host not found" errors
Tuesday was fine though, and when I tried yesterday evening, it also worked fine again.

I couldn't get my jref from Tuesday sometime to Friday morning! It was a nightmare! Really shows me how hooked I am. It's good to be back where I belong

Strange!!

What I don't understand, why some could get on no problem while the majority could not! Also what the person saw was different? Some got a blank page, some
a network error 80 screen, some a 404 can't be found error, some got the down for 20 minute warning; so many different problems when trying to get on is weird!
When I logged in, there were always less then 5 members, and no guests at all, so I knew something was up.
I wonder if it had to do with browser used, operating syatem,ISP (RoadRunner for me), servers we have to go through, or combinations of all. I almost felt guilty I could log in without a problem while many friends could not!

And it's still happening. It took me 4 different tries (2 at the same place) to be able to get here.

Had one "down for 20 minutes" warning yesterday, but when I tried again 1 hour later or so, no problem.

I figured it had something to do with the nameservers. It's like I visit once, come back a couple of minutes later and get the 404 for like a quarter of a day of trying. Then I try again, and it works, and look at that... 70+ new posts already? No ways. Hmmm... Must be the nameservers.

Everything seems to be working fine now and my mental state has quickly recovered.
