What does "Ookamishi" mean? If anyone knows the meaning of this word, please let me know. As for me, as far as I know, I just made it up.
If anyone is interested ( which they're most likely not ) this is how the name came into being.
The word " Ookamishi" actually was the name of a character from my very first written story. I took the word, ookami, meaning wolf, and the name Takeshi, and mixed it together.
Long ago in the Edo period , there was a wealthy daimyo . his only son was Takeshi, who was rude, and a brat. one day, and old man was angry with the boy for being so disrespectful, and cursed him to be half wolf half human the rest of his life, but he would never die.
So the boy turned into this monster, slaughtered his entire household including his family, and went into the forest. thereafter, he would attack viliages and such.
Present-day Japan, Ookamishi still lives in a forest near a small town. when he is shot and wounded, he collapses, ( he can't die, but it still hurts.) a little girl named Hisako finds him, and feels sorry for him. will this innocent child free him from his curse. . . ?
I don't know! I never wrote anymore. in fact, I lost the story when our old computer gave up the ghost. but it wasn't very good anyway.
What do you think???
