Aww, that's bad luck... To be honest, I struggle to find the time at home as well. It's like, "wow, I'm so lucky, I don't live with my parents any more or have school or college, I can do what I want..." but somehow it never works out like that.
I had this idea when I got a place of my own I'd do loads of stuff... lots of art... spend aaaages practicing the guitar... but noooo.... 
Yeah you're right, knackered = tired.
