What color should i dye my hair? Decisions..!

I'm going to book myself in for a hair cut at some point soon- don't worry i'm not going to get it all cut off, just have the split ends trimmed off and maybe get a slightly different style, something with a bit more shape/oomph.
But i'm thinking about getting my haired dyed again, its been a long time since i last had it dyed, right now i just have my natural hair color, and i wanna try something a bit different.

I've dyed my hair all sorts of different colors in the past, and right now i am considering either dying my hair black or some rich shade red auburn- i've had both of these colors in the past so i know i can suit them, although its been a very long time since i had black hair (i was a goth at the time). Unfortunately at the mo i can't find any pics though of me with these colors.

What do you think would suit me best- auburn red or plain black? Or maybe something else different altogether? I'm open to all suggestions, but i will have to say for a start i will never dye my hair blond, and although i really like a lot of the really bright hair colors (pink, blue, purple etc), last time i bleached my hair to achieve these colors the bleach did cause a lot of damage to my hair, so i'm kinda wary about bleaching my hair again.

I like your hair at its current colour, but if you want I'd say auburn, or just highlight it. I know women who would kill just to have your natural colour.

I would either add some low lights of a rich auburn or add blonder highlights, either way just to add some dimension. The color as it is right now is great on it's own. I know we women like to change it up thought! Honestly, I think if you want to do a wild color, like blue or pink, you have to have a modern haircut, long straight hair doesn't really work with those colors. It would be just too much....

Thanks , i have to say myself that right now currently i am leaning more towards the auburn red option- I think the redder the shade the better .

Yeah i agree, sometimes when i see the brightly colored cosplay long hair wigs though i can't but help want to have brightly colored hair lol, like this (i think this shade of pink is lovely);

I do think white hair is awesome but i think to bleach my hair enough to turn it white it would kill my hair .


I was wondering...How does one tie up their hair so they can put a wig on? Would i have too much hair to hide under a wig, does anyone know??

I would not bleach it either. . .
As for a wig, it depends on the kind of wig in the end, I suppose.
I don't know details, but you might get ideas from pics of preparing Kabuki etc. actors?

That red looks very nice and will definitely match the seats inside the theatre.

Minamiza Kabuki Theater in Kyoto is the oldest in Japan if you fancy ever seeing Kabuki.

Well i finally got my hair dyed today (sorry for the major delay!) and i got it cut and styled too- had about 8inches taken off and a bit of a side fringe added etc.
