Utada Hikaru (hikki-chan!)- Final Distance...KH-soundtrack...oh that song has now ended...Am now listening to Lia with Tori no uta, soundtrack AIR. huh...Halcali is quite nice to listen to.

I know that while alot of people are on the computer, they listen to music while waiting for the page to load, browsing the web, etc. Well, I figured I would start a thread just to talk about what we are listening to. Well, I shall start it off.
Before I was listening to "If You Can't Ride Two Horses At Once, Get Out The Circus" by Asking Alexandria. I'm currently listening to "Knives And Pens" by Black Veil Brides. Next I shall listen to the most awesomest song ever..Carameldansen XD I think I'll skip that and go to "Satisfaction" by Benny Banassi

....Never heard.
Well, right now I'm listening to "Til Summer Comes Around" by Keith Urban. I hate country with a burning passion, but I just really like the song. It reminds me of my life right now. Before, I was listening to "Pyramid" by Charice feat. IYAZ. Next in my playlist is "Diamonds Aren't Forever" by Bring Me The Horizon.

I don't like country either...my dad loves it and when you have to go to a country festival...you start to hate that music...drunk people everywhere :D

l0l..
My stepdad's all into country.
That's why I hate riding with him cause it's all he plays..
Most times, I tell him to change the station or put on some CDs or something, and he gives me a dirty look xD
I've never been to one, and hopefully I never do. hehe
Drunk people=my grandpa xD
He'd be the drunkest out of them all there..believe me, I know.

Now, "I Did It For Love" by BoA. Next "When Everyday's The Weekend" by Asking Alexandria.

Well, since my mom has me in a horrible, horrible mood, I've been listening to some weird stuff..
Previous, "Zero" by Girugamesh. Currently, "Paradise Lost" by Hollywood Undead. Next, "Fine Again" by Seether. My brother calls me emo..hehe

my sister calls me that too sometimes...I don't care xD...it's because when you wear black in my country you're emo :D

Same here.
Plus, not only if you wear black that you're emo, but if you're wearing black, wearing really over-dramatic black makeup such as a lot of eyeliner, you're hair is all teased and straightened, and you have random cuts, then you're emo or scene.
I don't label people because I don't like people labeling me.
Yep, I wear black, lots of it, but not like how you see the so called "emo" people wear.
I also have scares from previous issues I had.
I listen to screamo, and other weird music.
I shop at Hot Topic.
But does all that make me "emo"
Well, it's all in one's opinion.

Previous- "Wedding Dress" by TaeYang. Currently "Wedding Dress' by TaeYang. Next, "Wedding Dress" by TaeYang xD That song's addictive. I've been listening to it ALL day since I first woke up XP

I've heard of them before but never this particular song.
They're awesome ;]
Previous~ "Go All The Way" by ICP( Insane Clown Pose). Currently~ "Helena" by My Chemical Romance. Next~ "21 Century Breakdown" by Green Day.

I'm not listening to anything right now...it's so hot all doors are open and my mother doesn't like my taste of music...I was shocked when she said that "this one is quite good" (Guren by Gazetto) :D

Yeah, right now in Mississippi, it's 103..
It's hot T.T
Oh, you're lucky xD
When my mom hears me listening to it, she tells me to turn it off.
She says their vids are quite good, but she hates the music and the people...
Previous~ "Immortal Love" by Vampires Everywhere! Now~ "The Embrace" by Vampires Everywhere! Next~ "The Sophomre" by When Amber Sleeps...
I listen to some boring crap these days..

OMFG I swear this song is SO FREAKIN ADDICTIVE!!! :O

This is all I've been listening to. It's on repeat on my mp3 as well xD
It's so sad..I cried the first time I saw it xD
But then again I always cry to stuff like this so I was expecting it.
But I feel his pain T.T

my mom doesn't like the look of VK artists...she says make up shouldn't be even seen and everything should stay natural...it's funny when I was watching a concert and she didn't even recognize that that guy is japanese, because of blond hair and eye make up xD

Same here.

I don't get whats the big deal about "labelling" people. If you saw a guy who was wearing all black, had dyed black hair, black nail polish on his nails & white face makeup, and pointed such a guy out to your friends would you say to them;
a. "Hey look at that cool Goth guy over there" or
b. "Hey look at that cool guy over there wearing all the black stuff"

?

You see someone wearing camo getup with big black boots & a military hair cut, you assume they are in the army. You see someone with a punk look you assume they are a punk, you see someone dressed all emo you assume they are emo, you see someone wearing a swish suit with shiny shoes, a suitcase & talking on a mobile phone you assume they are a business man etc etc.

Its not about labelling at all. Generally speaking, certain people dress certain ways and this is the way we all identify everyone in society- someone shouldn't be lambasted for confusing you with being an emo if you dress emo no more than someone should be lambasted for confusing a anyone in the above examples etc.
If you take offence to this sort of stuff, then maybe you are a bit emo, lol.

Anyhoo, i'm listening to "Wake Me Up" by SPEED;

I don't take any of this offensive at all..
I think it's nice that you voiced your own opinion.
I just don't like it when people call you certain things, specifically emo.
Emo is a genre of music, not a style.
The style would be called "scene".
Just because I dress somewhat of the scene style, that makes me scene or emo?
Just because I tend to be sad a lot of the time, does that make me emo?
Just because I've attempted suicide before and have selfharmed, does that make me emo?
Just because I listen to post-hardcore/screamo/death metal and so on, does that make me emo?
No, it doesn't. It makes me me
It just really annoys me that a lot of people expect the above examples out of "emo" or "scene" people.
Not everyone's like that.

Previous~ "Paradise Lost" by Hollywood Undead

Now~ "Don't Fall Asleep At The Helm" by Sleeping With Sirens

Next~ "The Final Episode" by Asking Alexandria

You're right I think...it's stupid to label people according to their looks to one certain style...as for me...I'm a mix of various of styles...as you said..scene, gothic, visual kei, and maybe other I don't even know about...it is a nonsense to say that someone is emo or something...that's not even possible...how can you change yourself to a certain style, that's not possible at all!

I think that argueing that Emo is merely a genre of music or that Scene fashion is the style of those into Emo music would be disputed by MANY people.

Lol, anyways, so what if you meet all the Emo stereotypes, deal with it. You're obviously sure enough of yourself to know who you are and have confidence in who you are.
(I think the real reason why you don't like being called Emo is because a lot of people don't take Emo's seriously and, most of all, you don't want to be called a label that you personally look down upon. And this is the crux of the whole issue i think.)

Lol so its wrong to give label one person one style, but not if someone gives them many labels? Is this more about using the right or wrong labels to describe a person rather than the issue of fundamentally using labels to describe people?

Honestly, using labels is often what we use to describe ourselves (you just did it yourself), so i think its funny that people get pissed off at people labelling people, saying stuff like "OMG i can't believe you just called me a Goth! I am so Visual Kei >_> !!", when they use such very labels to describe aspects of themselves.
At first glances, people will just describe you as how they honestly view you- they're not going to know the intricacies of your image. And its not because they're small-minded or whatever, we're all do stuff like this all the time.

when a person see you for a first time labeling is quite normal...but you have to realize that when you want to know the person a bit more you'll have to give up on labeling and take him as original personality.
