I've never been to a porn site, and I keep getting weird japanese emails which say this [email protected] and the stuff after the @ symbol keeps changing.

I can't read it for some reason; I try to change the encoding but I still have problems reading it on ordinary Yahoo mail.

I went to the website and it was called "milk" or something and said in very bad english it was for romantic communities or something? It also had a picture of a japanese womens breast?

What the heck??

I click on the animation of 'milk', and it takes me to chat.yahoo.co.jp!

OK weird! If this is a Yahoo site, ok, even weirder. I knew Japanese people were sexy and more 'open' per se, but this is insane!

Here's what it said in Japanese about "milk":

Milkでは理想条件(近所・出張先・メル友・結婚・恋愛・遊び相手・大lの恋愛・etc)で、お相手と出逢い満足して頂くサービスを第一に考え、初心者からエキスパート・幅広い年齢層の方が安心して楽しめるサイト作りにスタッフ一同努力しております。

In very bad, laughable English (Seriously, this is funny! I didn't even translate it! It is terrible!Wow!)
Do you request a meeting on the site that cannot be met indefinitely? "Milk" is an online community site for people who have had such a painful time. You are to be able to come across a surely good partner here.

Less than 18 years old cannot be used. Please acknowledge it beforehand.

(Yes, it said this twice.)

18 years or older? Interesting. Still, I click on the link, and it directs me to Yahoo.

Indefinitely? That is a very..strange word to use in this case! LOL 😊

'Surely' too. The odd language there.

Oh, and this is a classic: Less than 18 years old cannot be used

That doesn't make any sense at all! Weird.

Please help with this if you can. I can't read the Japanese yet.

It's just spam.. Sometimes I get it, in Japanese, too. Just block the sender(s) and move on :p
But it directs you to yahoo? Like yahoo.co.jp? Or what?
Maybe you clicked the 'leave the site' button (for under 18's) instead of 'enter the site'? :D

Yeah, I'm guessing since I heard japanese are more open it is normal. I translated it with a crude translator and some the kanji say "romantic relationships". I guess this is a big thing in japan just like blood types. Seriously, why are they so fasinated with blood types and thinking americans all have O blood types? :devilish:
Hebiichigo is it true in japan prostitute girls are legal ? I assume its false but I heard on discovery channel (or the travel channel) that when you get one and don't have a wife its OK (Or is it when you do have a wife?) and you go to 'love hotels'. apparently love hotels exist too!
Yeah it directs me. I'd give you the link but I don't know if its a bad site or not and don't want any minors to go to it.
On the left it said "Members" and had apparently some username and password. It was apparently a forum, but who knows. :?

Yeah it directs me to yahoo.co.jp. Well if I clicked the leave button why did it redrect me? I didn't have yahoo japan open in the first place.

All this amounts to is a dating service that matches the user with a partner or 'escort/mail friend/playmate' etc. for various occasions and needs (including love and marriage 😊). The staff strives to provide a site that can be enjoyed by a broad age range (from beginner to expert) nada nada....Only one more month to go to GCL and you can do it all legally, at least in Japan. :p

It probably just takes you to a 'safe' site.. I dunno XD

I can't really answer your other questions, sorry. But yes, love hotels do exist 😊

That's what i would say too😊

Just some Spam, no worries.. You click on it, and then DELETE... 🙂

Well, I just found out something horrible. There was apparently a virus in the email, a trojan horse. 2 of them. This slowed down my moms computer. My dad is a network engineer for computers and he said it was japanese virus.

I wonder if the email had it in it? Maybe the website? the only other explaination is somehow my friend Mac (who is on these forums) sent it to me or something from jaapn on accident or perhaps I got it from chat at yahoo.co.jp?

This isn't good!

You should have an anti-virus program running and screening all incoming and outgoing e-mails.

Also, you really shouldn't open spam to begin with. A good way to avoid these sorts of problems (and cut down on spam in general) is to use some sort of spam detecting and deleting filter software. I use SpamPal from SpamPal

I'm surprised you got a virus through webmail, I'm quite impressed 👍

Moral of the story is that unsolicited email isn't worth the time or effort, just delete it and don't worry any more!

Well I just found out the virus was from yahoo.co.jp not from the email.

Very strange. Perhaps the yahoo chat (japanese) had a virus on it. I had virus protection activiated by the way, it was a trojan horse.

.... it was from Yahoo.co.jp... Cookie?

another thread of bs....

No.

Not BS.

Who knows where it was from, but it was japanese oriented, my dad is an expert in what he does, thank you. I'm not making this up.

Oh yeah! Neither have I .... !:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D 👏
HOWEVER! (Cough, Cough, Cough!)
I have a website, and started to translate my website (badly!) into Japanese - from which moment, I too have received the occasional Japanese "Spam"!
It seems to be a quirk in the internet that, once you enable Japanese encoding or distribute anything encoded in Japanese ... you open yourself to 'Spam' from Japanese sources. (I suppose that the same applies to Russian, Arabic, Greek, Chinese ... etc. etc.)
I think nothing of it, but just follow the advice of previous posters; configure a filtering system to delete this rubbish as a matter of course!
.... and never, never, never ... ever, open an "attachment" that you're not sure about!
Promise?
ニ淡ニ停?。ニ停?
