This one was the best wrong number I've ever received. I tried to make sense out of it, but it was just too confusing.
I think she was on some kind of substance at the time.

Caller: Hello, I have your son.

Me: Ah~, I don't have a son.

Caller: . . .

Me: . . .

Caller: That son of a b**** broke my car window with a hammer! And I have him in my closet right now.

Me: Ah~, ok... I think you got a wrong number.

Caller: ... I'm going to hit him with a spatula!

Me: I don't think you should hit him with a spatula, you should call a police.

Caller: Oh, maybe I should. Bye.

Me:

That was the whole conversation, and I thought someone I knew was playing a joke on me at first.
I have no clue what happened to that poor boy who was in her closet.

Do you get funny ones like this sometimes as well? If you do, I'd love to hear about it.

woman : i dialed xxx-xxxx

boy : no, it is aaa-aaaa , you dumb bi_ch!!

woman :.....[takes a spatula]

And she dialed the number he gave her after hitting him.
:D:giggle::D

Misa, that's hilarious!!!! I hope the police got there before the kid got maimed by a spatula. 😌

We too have gotten some weird wrong numbers in the past.

My favorite was a message left on our answering machine about ten years ago by a very uppity sounding woman demanding that I call her to discuss the actions of my son John, who "apparently has a problem getting along with her son at school". Since we don't have any children, she obviously had us confused with someone else, but since she did address me by my last name in the message, I concluded that she had mistaken us for another family in our town who do have some sons, and are of no relation to us, but have the same last name, and who, unlike us, had the good sense to have an unlisted phone number.

After listening to the message when I got home that evening, I figured that I would just call the woman to let her know that she had contacted the wrong person, so that she wouldn't call again that evening. As soon as I told her my name, she said in a really snippy manner, "just a minute! MY HUSBAND has a few words for you!!" Before I could get a word in edgewise, some whiny jerk of a guy was on the line chewing me out for having a delinquent, violent son. Although I tried numerous times to politely interrupt to let him know that he they had contacted the wrong home, he kept droning on and on without a break. It pissed me off so badly that I finally yelled into the phone for him to shut the f*** up so that I could talk. I then proceeded to tell him that I was not John's father, and that his stupid wife had called me since we were the only ones in town with that name who were listed in the phone book, and that the only reason that I called back was to let them know that she had dialed a wrong number, and so that I wouldn't have to listen to some whiny pissants on the phone later after we get settled in for the night. Furthermore, I told him that although I do not know either of the boys involved, that if his son is as much of a whiny wimp as his old man, and as quick to pass judgement as both his parents, then he probably deserved to get his *** kicked. The guy started to get indignant with me again, and I suggested that having his *** kicked was probably something that he was intimately familiar with from when he was in school, and that if he would like a refresher course in what it felt like, then my address is in the book right next to the phone number that his stupid snippy wife found earlier today, so come on down. I hung up the phone, and never heard from them again. :-)

That's the funniest thing I've heard all week. Way to go Bob! Do you do contract work as well?

the original post sounds like a scam that is going around Japan now. A call comes in saying that your child/grandchild has been kidnapped, then a child gets on the phone pleading for help. I have read about this a couple of times in the last month or so...seems like someone here has been preying mainly on the elderly and trying to convince them to pay a ransom fee for the childs release...of course the whole thing is ony a hoax! Surprising how many people were suckered out of their money without even bothering to ensure their child is missing! :p
