Toyama or Kanazawa: Anyone There?
I am moving to Toyama-shi, in Toyama-ken.
I would really like to connect to some Engish-speaking
people in that area. I am an American man,
from California. My interests are computers
(I am a programmer), music (classical,
popular, everything), and all areas of science,
society, and politics. I do NOT want anything
romantic. I want to swap stories about things
within 100 km, such as Toyama's immigration office,
the local ADSL and Cable TV companies, nice local
parks and sites and stores, etc. I am a good guy
to have as a friend, because I am generous with my
time helping my friends. I am an expert in Windows
(even Server Clusters, Terrminal Services, multilingual
user interface...), Linux, websites, law, taxes, etc.
Please email: [email protected],
or send me a message inside Jref. Thank you.

Toyama and Kanagawa are considerably geographically separated. Why do you include both of them in your inquiry? Just curious....

Um.....Mike....he said Kanazawa, not Kanagawa. Kanazawa is in Ishikawa Prefecture, next to Toyama Prefecture.

Three guesses what the edit was, and the first two don't count.

Hahahaha! I didn't notice that! I humbly take my last post back! m(__)m

Welcome to the forum hanibi san!! I hope that you enjoy the forum, and post when you can. I live in Nagano ken, so it's not so far from the Toyama area, but a ways off from Kanazawa. I hope you have fun in Japan too. Maybe if you ever have some time off during the Summer months, you can pop up here (this is a higher elevation) for a BBQ.

What type of work will you be doing here?
