Funny how the first snow of winter seems so wonderful. Reminds us of Christmas. Makes the ground look so clean & fresh. Clings to the trees and makes them look wonderful. The big fluffy flakes drifting slowly down from the sky seem almost romantic.
BUT THEN...we get more and more, UGH! You have to shovel the heavy crap and dig out the big heavy snowblower. You freeze your butt off in it. The cars skid and crash in it. You put your back out shoveling the wet heavy stuff. Soon there is so much you need big tall heavy boots or snowshoes. Then it melts and refreezes so you slip and slide and fall and break some poor bone. By February, you feel trapped in your home and depressed by all that white stuff. By March you pray for spring and mud season;brown sticky mud is looking good compared to all that stupid snow. Will June ever get here so we can see the last of the white horrible snow and start seeing some green grass again.
Ahh, but today, it is soooo beautiful, LOL.
