The DREAM post thread?

Dunno, I'll give it a shot, see if it floats or sinks...mods if this is in the wrong place (which I fear it may be) please move it.


Rules:

1) Keep them short and sweet, think sonnets not essays.

2) Honour system applies: no embellished, fabricated, filled-in gaps, fake dreams etc. created for the sake of being funny. Keep it as real as possible.

3) Keep side-discussions of possible meaning/interpretation aside, I was thinking this would just be a quick non-fiction post of odd short stories in the form of people's dreams.

4) Post soon after having the dream; avoid posting old dreams that are no longer vivid or relevant.

5) Quality not quantity, just post the interesting/bizzare ones, if you've got a vague one maybe wait till you have a really vivid one to post.

I'll start it?

I had this dream last night.

I was in a warehouse type place, which was actually my home. The warehouse was a loft type place with high ceilings. There were several large aquariums, more like large above-ground pools. There was no visible source of light although they were all extremely bright inside as if somehow illuminated. They all had extremely odd creatures in them. Many were large goldfish type fish but with beaks. One I distinctly remember was like, a black furry dog with seal-fins instead of legs and a Chinese-dragon kind of face, but galloping around inside the aquarium very quickly as if not submerged in water, although it was clearly submerged in water.

In this warehouse I somehow also had a pet camel, and I rode the camel around the warehouse because it was very spacious. The camel though, was quite energetic, not your typical beast of burden, more like a dog, running and wanting to play etc.

The end of the dream involved me leaving my warehouse home to go to work. I entered a hardware store and bought a baseball cap, and left the store. There was some discussion with the clerk about price, I had other items in my basket but only wanted the hat.

And that was it!

I pulled an all nighter playing a video games called "Mirrors Edge". Its a game based on free running/parkour. I had a dream where I was in China with a school friend (he was a free runner to) and a nuke was going to hit this city we were in. So me and my friend were running up walls and stuff trying to evacuate the city. The dream finished up with me and my friend trying to outrun the blast. We did. It was pretty epic.

Fortunately for the purposes of this thread I've been ill over the weekend and had the benefit of medically induced nightmares.

The only one of coherent remembrance was driving an old style american steam train through explicitly Siberia and into a snowdrift of icecream (I kid you not), Followed immediately by organising the evacuation of passengers (danish milkmaids) in the face of a wolf attack.

This is not my usual dream fare, as having just typed it i would recommend myself to a psychologist.

I had a dream the other night that two of my managers from work were trying to get me framed for a crime I didn't commit, one of them wanted me in jail, the other was sort of sympathetic to my plight but he was going along with it anyways just because ... there was more to the dream but I can't remember what happened.
