My experience of General Conversation: (し)なくちゃ(contracted form of (し)なくては) with either いけない or ならない (sounds a little more formal). Perhaps closer to 'ought'/'should' as an obligation that carries consequences for not doing than 'must' as a thing prohibited by rule or law.

I've read quite a few conjugations already, but had not encounter one which means "should do [v]", does such a conjugation even exist, or do we express "should" in different ways in japanese (like the one in your previous post, using なくちゃ)

also, regarding はず, in this sentence ボブもいきたいはず does the はず signify "probably" or "supposed to"?:
(1) Bob probably wants to go too
or (2) Bob is supposed to want to go

It can be expressed in a gazillion different ways. In English, also. Do you have a dictionary ? :sorry: I need to know what you think the other conjugations represent before offering any more help.

sry what do you mean by a dictionary, usually i look up words at WWWJDIC and i learn grammar from several online sites like timwerx.net and Introduction – Learn Japanese

It is expected that Bob also wants to go.

i was wondering if we can use it this way:
Me and Tom are deciding whether or not to buy the tickets for Bob (Bob is not anywhere near us). and i say ボブもいきたいはず. is it ok to use it this way?
