A very minor point from me - one that I didn't think it worth bothering to clarify at the time, but just to satisfy some people's curiosity and also avoid any misapprehensions..........

I stopped being an 'advisor' on Jref because:
(a) I didn't feel that my character is suitable for the role, and didn't feel comfortable in it (it 'cramps my style' if you like!).
(b) My available time is very unpredictable and 'bitty' at the moment, meaning that there will be some relatively long periods when I can't use the net/visit Jref.
(c) I stopped finding the forum discussions so interesting, and yet my 'advisor' role made me feel obliged to try and pay attention to everything, and I didn't want to be tied to that any more.

I was not asked to leave, I did so from my own choice and from those reasons above.

If I don't come onto Jref for a short period of time (maybe a week, 2 weeks... seems like time feels longer on the internet!), that isn't because of any disagreements, dislikes, or bad feelings between me and anyone else on this board. It is simply because I'm doing other things.

I wouldn't normally bother posting something so trivial and self-centred but... well, you know my reasons in the first line.

I never thought anything other than what you said here in the OP. If I remember correctly, when you stepped down, you gave your reasons in some post somewhere.

I personally think you make a good mod, and I am sorry that you are gone, but that's life. I mean, Jref is only as important as you let it be. It's a free forum with an ever-changing membership, after all.

What we all have to do is lighten up a little around here! If visiting Jref seems like a chore, then you especially need to lighten up! (Ironically, I find the need to clarify that I am using the word "you" in the sense of everyone, but no one specifically )

You've consistently been level-headed in your opinions and I respect that. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the range of your interests (as well as the pic you posted in the Post Your Pic thread).
You certainly are a person I would never have met in my real life and are one of the interesting members I'd love to meet in person!

I know there's more to life than JRef but look forward to reading your posts (when you have the time) in the future!
