Question Reading Japanese

Can I assume you are in America? The biggest problem with a language exchange is the time difference. Most Japanese people want to do an exchange at 8pm Japan time. But that would be like 4am for you. Is there any way this would work for you?

OR, should one just listen a lot to Japanese and read a lot to develop an intuitive sense of intonation. Often times, as I'm sure you know, the pitch accent of a word changes when it's in a sentence. Are you in high school? College? Neither? If you want to get a job in Japan, the absolute minimum is a four-year degree (in anything).

When it comes to some words that pronounce the same but when the meanings change depending on intonation, in this case it's quite important to distinguish pitch accent. Of course it's always better to speak in right intonation. But in Japan the intonation is quite different in Tokyo and in Osaka. Don't be too worried but you will get accustomed to good pitch accent if you read loud and someone help you your possible mistakes.

Thank you very much for your nice comment I try to help understand Japanese as well as I can Also these videos are really useful for my private students and in my lessons we can practice conversations using each grammar in the videos.
As for JLPT, if a certain company requires you some certain level, then it's necessary.

Oh man... do you know what really butters my bread? When I see actual Japanese people struggle with certain Kanji. Gets me wigglin' with more excitement than my neighbor's dog when I approach him with a Milk Bone. I'm like, YESSSSSSSSS, I'M NOT ALOOOOOOOOONE!

Sweet Fancy Moses! I can't believe it! Queen Lily, too?! I totally understand, haha. This happens to me all the time, too, and I think to myself, dag nabbit, I should just have this memorized, hahaha. When someone asks me to write them some words I get more nervous than a hotdog at a campfire.

Holy buckets holy buckets, so I read a lot of 1st grade books at the moment… I have books through 6th grade, and I thought… how hard can it be? I crack open the 6th grade books through after feeling super confident and Kanji EVERYWHERE…. Which I love, but my OCD brain did not love that I didn't know all of them!!!! HOW am I going to pick up the ladies if my Kanji knowledge be slippin'? That was my humbling moment. Hahaha, what I need to do is just work through the grades and not jump ahead… but the urge to jump forward is real!!! Haha Lily is right though about reading not being any fun when you look up every word. Thank God I don't do that. Haha

Hey all, I'm a bit stuck… I'm reading this story but I'm not sure if the attached へ next to を is E or HE. I'm pretty sure that when it's next to の it is E and when it's next to を it's E, but I've included two images for your consideration if you're curious. It's a riveting story about a girl with flatulence problems???

I'm assuming you're talking about the へ with the black dot next to it. In this case it's pronounced HE. It means fart. The girl is this story truly has epic farts. It's just in line with kids' humor!

I could be wrong but you don't really hear へ spoken that much. Or maybe I just haven't been able to pick it out in conversation. Typically you'd say おなら. Or just make an implied accusation by saying くさい! Anyway your next task is to practice the pronunciation of the fart noise written in this book. ブオッホー! Say it loudly and say it proudly until you can't stop giggling.
