Very nice shadow! Those are superb!

Not quite artistic with the color pencils, but I can sure as hell use an airbrush and small paint brush to make model aircraft.

I built most of these when I was between the age of 15-18. Just now getting back into it Maybe I will show some pictures if interest is here.☝

A pair of Tamiya's 1/48 F-51 Mustangs.

DML's 1/48 Ka-50 Hokum

Hasegawa's 1/48 MC .202

MC .202 parked with Hasegawa's 1/72 Su-27B Flanker

Pro Modeler's 1/48 Messershmitt Bf-110C with lots of scratch built work

Accuriate Miniature's 1/48 TBM-3 Avenger with plenty of scratch built stuff and battle damage.

Tamyia's 1/48 Bf-109E-3...This one is sitting at a local hobby shop in Illinois. Of course it's been bumped by other modeler's models. Hope the store owner places the canopy back on track.

Wow, amazing! They are very detailed. I used to build tanks and planes when I was little, too, but I never finished one. I got irritated and quit in the middle.
You must have a lot of patience!

I love ur models, Rudel, they are very good! I used to make models when I was younger, too. Model planes. I would like to post pics of the figures that I paint, but they are so small (around 1.25 inches) that it's really difficult to photograph them...

Great paintings, I like them Misa J! I don't think they are stupid! I really like the playfulness and the colors.

Yes Kinsao, I was feeling very playful like a child and even used fingerpainting for kids when I painted those.

I jsut read about his painting style and found out that they are linked to musical harmony, which surprised me a little because one of my paintings was my husband with his guitar surrounded by little music he made.

I finished a drawing... but it annoys me... I made the eye out of proportion deliberately but it's bugging me now and I wish I didn't.

Somehow I managed to have missed the opening of this thread...perhaps so much had been going on at the end of last year, and all. I regret not having seen it then, and do hope to keep it going.

I loved all the works I have seen and heard here--it's really great talent and imagination people !! I envy you all, it's just so good. I looked through it all with awe and joy.

I have started painting again, and although I have noticed that my brush touch has slipped, I do hope to keep at it and try to work it up again. I will post the painting that I have just finished. I find myself only 80% satisfied with it. Also, I know that it is rather empty, but that was on purpose, and with that, I understand well Kinsao's feelings about the eye (which draws more interest than emptiness)

The painting is titled Two Crater Lake--before the storm and it is a Mars scene. Anyway, I hope to do more work. (I will post some of my older ones which I had somehow managed to sell in that distant past, later on.)

Very nice painting Mr Martian! - and quite topical with the mission that is going on at the moment. Is this a postcard from your holiday?
I'm a bit of a Jupiter fan, myself...16+ moons, rings, 400 mph winds and the Great Red Spot - it rocks !

Thanks Rich 303 san !! Yeah, I hear on the Jupiter thing, for sure--only it takes so, so long to get there. But yes, those rings and their oppposing orbit thing, and those winds and gases...wow...

I'll post some more paintings here next week. Hope to see other works by all our creative forum friends !!

I love that painting Mars! It reminds me so much of home Really, it reminds me of a painting by a friend of my Dad's that we used to have when I was little - it was a view of Saturn from one of her moons. I think that painting started my interest in space. That, and the fact that my Dad said he was an alien and his spaceship was parked on the dark side of the moon. I believed him too.
