While watching something on tellie the other day, an english speaker referred to his car as being "environmentally friendly" and then his Japanese friend said what I beleive was あっ、作りにやさしいね! (ah, tsukuri ni yasashii ne!) which i took to mean something like "made carefully with consideration to the environment".
I've only ever known the phrase 環境にやさしい (kankyou ni yasashii) so i'm just wondering if the other expression is a common one or just his mate's way of looking at things. I've not been able to find any other examples but then I never learnt to read/write 日本語.
