OMG! The Playstation 3 is Here!!!

After all the hype! The madness! Sony's next generation console is finally here! Today is a big day for gamers. People have been injured in the process of getting one, so be careful.

So, who's got it? What are you doing to get one, in case you don't have it already? What do you all think? Let's talk PS3.

Oh, yeah! It's here alraight, and it's caused nothing but chaos. In California, there was a riot outside a Best Buy store as a horde of people in serious need of a life rushed the door like people fleeing a movie theater after someone yelled "fire!", resulting in injuries. Here in Pennsylvania where I live, some poor kid was robbed of his console at gunpoint, let me say that again, AT GUNPOINT mere minutes after buying it. Meanwhile, consoles have already shown up on eBay, one I saw with a bid of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! That is freaking unreal! And all for some overhyped and overly expensive game console. Just when I thought I couldn't be surprised at the greed, and the stupidity of human beings, they exceed my expectations.

AHHHHHHHH Ren your so lucky to be in the USA it's still not out in the UK yet *sob*

What! Gunpoint? I bet the robber thought it was like taking candy from a child. OMG. What is happening to the world these days? You have the potential of getting injured much more dying all for a gaming console? Gaming consoles are not even an ideology to die for IMHO. Years before, you come from a bank you get robbed at gunpoint now you get robbed for buying a PS3. Hah! The criminals' tastes are evolving too, right? They're now gamers. Great!

I can't understand why these people have to have it at that very moment. Because a limited number of PS3s were manufactured and you can brag that you were one of the lucky or stupid ones who got 'em? Come on, it's not as if these manufacturers are not going to make more of 'em you know. Hello, we're talking bucks here.

Quite true. I'm not even getting one now because A) I'd rather wait to get it when the console numbers aren't so limited B) We all know that Sony is gonna do something to make sales go up (Sony are the kings of that) either
throwing in a few games or dropping the price or something spectacular. C)Not mention, the 60gig systems are GONE. I'd rather wait for that to come back out, seeing as how one PS3 game is gonna take about 5gigs to save. D)If someone tries to rob me at gunpoint, there is gonna be some problems. I mean paying that much only to get robbed minutes later? Must be tearing the poor kid up.

Until, then I will be here loving my $250 Wii and maybe Xbox 360 because I so wanna play Gears of War.

Yeah...the UK isn't gonna get till about March 2007. Those in the UK don't buy it off of Ebay! Wait. And pay standard price for it because right now, the system really isn't worth paying thousands of dollars for it.

Side note: I'm pissed that Sony had a launch party and gave EVERY celebrity there a free console. People who won't even appreciate it because hello...they are rich! They can afford one! They probably don't even play games! I know Lindsay Lohan doesn't! I think they should have just left those...200 or more consoles for the real die hard gamers.

Not only is Sony doing not very good at selling TV's anymore, but also had problems with the notebook batteries which costs the company a lot.
While the PS2 was the first 128-bit console that was widespread (Sorry Sega, but the Dreamcast was a flop, although the texture mapping looked better than on the PS2), causing problems for XBOX and Gamecube to those who could only afford one system, it is more the contrary between Sony and MS. The XBOX360 came out almost one year earlier and has undergone several system upgrades via XBOXlive since then to improve the menu system. Even many XBOX-haters have switched sides.
IMO Sony was either too self-confident or miscalculated the market.
Sony messed up to continue its dominance in the gaming sector this time due to the weak and disapointing presentation during this years gaming fares. And that was not my own idea but a quote from several gaming magazines and internet articles.
