Not entirely sure where this would go...but URGENT!

Hello. I have recently learned of an Anime Convention in St Louis that my girlfriend will be attending. The problem is, I can't seme to convince my parents to let me go.
I'm fifteen (till October 23rd), my girlfriend is fourteen (till November 1st). This anime convention is a chance I'd get to see her in person for the first time. : /
(Anyone laughs that I've never been with her in person, they get hurt. D:<)

I want so badly to go to this convention and be with her, even if it is only for a day or two...

My dad says he would like to visit a nearby town, so there's some incentive for him to drive me. However, my mom isn't so happy about the idea. I requested that this is the ONLY thing I want for my birthday, and if I can't go, then I want nothing else. My mom's already tried to convince me to ask for something else so she'd have a reason to get me something I wanted without letting me go. Both of them are okay with me meeting her, though.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to convince my parents?

victorDelacroix, where do you live--or maybe how far are you from St. Louis are you? Maybe try to bring up old, and long set aside memories your parents' may have of similar feelings when they were just getting interested in each other. Use imagination, creativity--think hard, for every gram of your desire to meet her. Do your best !! ganbatte !!
