Need assistance with Japanese music

Hello, for the longest time, I was on top of my game in being up to date with the Japanese pop and rock stars, but after coming to college, I seem to have fallen behind. While contemplating my solution, I thought "What better a way than to go to my trusty Jref friends and ask for their help" So here I am haha. I am asking for your guys's help on sites/torrents/DC++ hubs/anything that has news updates, maybe album updates, singers, who's hot and number 1. I really feel inadequete hehe, and I need more J-music, my collection is been listened to countless times. Thank you guys so much for your help.

Try JPopSuki or JMusicExchange. As for who is in it all depends on your taste. Are you more into JRock or JPop

As for JRock most of the JRock bands I like are sort of underground so its not exactly the Hip thing.

It depends on what types of music you are interested in, Jpopsuki was mentioned, there is Pope's Jrock & Ayumi Hamasaki sites on DC++... as for Indies stuff, it's a little hit or miss---- look for Metal Chicks, or Plastic Sex (ex Plastics members)... Terriyaki Boyz (readymade hiphop via nigo etc etc)... but, that stuff is much harder to find than the standard Jpop....

What I always do is just type in ﾆ但ﾆ停?ｹﾆ弛ﾆ停ぎ (album) in the search field of Limewire and then I get the most popular albums at the moment.. Through that I also discovered some old stuff Yutaka Ozaki (great stuff), 70's folk songs and a lot of enka!! (You gotta love that..) ﾂ（ﾂ湘篠）

Awesome, Thank you guys so incredibly much. I Love all kinds of non J-rock, but I like mainstream rock bands mostly. I also love any jpop, but chick singers with Guitars rock, I think. Which is wierd, because I don't think a lot of American, girl-sung bands work. Thanks the the help. I like: My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Sum 41, Weezer. Those types of bands. @leonmarino: The name "Remioromen" has no meaning; the name was just formed by putting together the band members' favorite katakana. XD As for downloading J-pop...I mainly go to the aforementioned JPOPSUKI BitTorrent tracker. Also, I like to go to Hello! Online's tracker for doinkloads of Morning Musume/H!P files (yes, doinkies likes MoMusu ).
