Need a word or phrase translated?

私がいつも気おつけていたことは2つです.

I know this is very trivial, but I just had to ask. "2つ" would mean what? Is "つ" some kind of counter in this sentence, or is it something that could mean "things". I've never seen this before in previous lessons. 😌

It is a traditional counting in Japanese, and つ is a kind of suffix used when counting things or age.
ひとつ
ふたつ
みっつ
よっつ
いつつ
むっつ
ななつ
やっつ
ここのつ
とお

私がいつも気をつけていたことは2つです
can be translated "There are two things that I always pay attention".
Though つ is not used on its own and it is a kind of counter, it can be translated as "thing(s)" depending on the context.

Thank you undrentide-san. That helps quite a bit. I hope you're feeling well now. :-)

田中さんと、今駅に着いたのであと10分ぐらいしたら帰るけど。。。

I have a couple questions about this sentence. What purpose is the "と" serving here in the "田中さんと" part?

My second question is concerning "あと10分ぐらいしたら".
What does putting "したら" into this sentence make this phrase mean? Would it still be correct grammatically without "したら"?

ありがとうございます。

I'm assuming that is a phone conversation...
To me, it sounds like you're telling your family that "Tanaka san and I have just arrived at the station now, so we're coming home in about 10 minutes".
Or, it might mean "Now that Tanaka san and I have just arrived at the station, I am coming home in about 10 mins". Or "Tanaka san and I arrived at the station now, and I will be heading home in about 10 mins", even.

I am sure that the speaker and Tanaka san are at the station but not sure if the speaker is coming home with or without Tanaka san, or, if they will stay at the station for 10mins and then go home or they will arrive at the speakers home in 10mins... ^^;
But then again, first thing that comes to my mind when hearing this sentence, I'd take it as "Tanaka san and I arrived at the station now, so we will get home in about 10 mins".

Sorry, if I'm making you more confused.

Anyway, "田中さんと" here means, "with Tanaka san".

And したら can mean "if/when/after doing something", which would be translated as "in 10 minutes" in this case.

You could rephrase it as 10分ぐらい帰るけど。。。, but just taking out "shitara" and saying 10分ぐらい帰るけど is grammaticcally incorrect.

Another example of "shitara".
あと30分ぐらいしたら、テレビで犬夜叉が始まるよ。
In about half an hour, Inuyasha will be airing on TV. (In this context, you CAN rephrase as "30分ぐらいで".

宿題をしたらテレビを見ていいよ。
When you're done with your homework, you may watch TV. (In this context, you cannot replace "shitara" by "de", though)

I had considered "田中さんと" meaning "with"....
でも、 読んだ事はありませんと思います。そんなに委しく説明してくれてありがとうございました。 ✌️

Also, I didn't realize at first why you were talking about Inuyasha of all things..
犬夜叉を見た事があるかなってそれから僕のAVATARの事を思い出した。ちょっと可笑
しいですね。 😊

後から走ってくる馬とは10馬しん(10 Horse Lenghts)以上の差があった。

What would be the proper way to translate "後から走ってくる馬とは"? I'm having a bit of trouble with that area of the sentence. If anyone can give a hand when you have the time, I would be greatly thankful. :p

This would really help me out, so if someone would have the time and translate this to japanse, it would help me so much.

I need help to translate this to japanese:

Hello Sensei, I have chosen to write a report on every task that I have done, on all the chapters.

The first one was vocabulary test number one.
Second and third, I did at the same time, Which was the one with Mary introduces her friend to Takeshi.

And the listen to the dialogue between Sue and mary.

The first and second one was "L2-6B" and "L3-7B".
(No need to translate the "...")

Here is a list on what I have done

"L4-8C"
Listen to the dialogue in the classroom and answer the following question.

"L5-8A"
Listen to the dialogue between a real estate agent.

"L6-7B"
Your roommate has gone away for a week.

"L7-8A"
One student was assaulted by someone at the dorm.

"L8-8A"
Listen to the cd and choose the picture.

"L9-8B"
Jun is showing the picture taken at his birthday party.

'"L10-7A"
Mary and her friends are talking about the upcoming winter vacation.

"L11-5C"
Listen to the three short dialogues and answer the question in english.

"L12-7A"
Listen to the three dialogues at the health clinic.

I know its quite much text, but It would really help me alot. If its possible to translate, please use as much hiragana and katana as possible, so it will be easier to read, of course kanji can be used, but not so much, it will be hard to read because I haven't learned so much kanji yet.

THIS is not for school, as im not stuying japanese in school, this is actually me and my japanese penpal who's teaching me some japanese. I want to reply in japanese because her english isn't that good and its quite much text.

I'm afraid no one here is willing to help out on this both because of the length and that it sounds too implausible to be involving simply a pen pal. You may want to take it to a professional translator if the work is that important. :-)

Is this a short test for someone learning Japanese, or are you asking for help with grammar??
😌

~じゃない can be used only with noun or na-adjective.
There are only two in your list.
あめがふる is a sentence.

Hello again.

What would be a Japanese katakana transcription of "Night Club"? Are there any real examples, and if not, how would they most probably transcribe it?

I guess it would be ナイトクラブ (naitokurabu).

今度結婚することになりました

This roughly means "(We've) decided to get married (soon)"? I was scratching my head a bit trying to get "今度" to work right in my mind. So I assume here it is "Soon" and not something else? 😌
