I have a dialogue that I don't quite understand
T: Ryoojikan ni wa Tanaka-san ga yo-nin mo ite, komarimasu nee.
K: Soo desu nee. Tanada wa yoku arimasu kara. Betonamu-jin no naka de wa donna namae ga ooi n desu ka?
T: Guen desu. Watashi no kookoo de wa hanbun ga Guen deshita.
K: Watashi no namae wa sukunai node, tasukarimasu.

If there aren't as many Tanadas the second line is of course a typing error. Otherwise, let us know more particularly which parts you aren't quite getting.

I'm been trying to translate "lone wolf" in Japanese; I know there's an equivalent, but there's so many words to say "lone" that I'm confused. I have long ways to go --in fact I am barely starting to learn--, and would appreciate an explanation as well as the translation.

kodoku ookami?

There were other terms for "lone" or "alone" (which could be basically considered the same) but I don't remember them.

Been watching anime, and been jotting down some common expressions (words?) I commonly find in animes, that while at this point I think I know what they mean, I want to make sure I got the meaning right, and would like to check on the hiragana as well, if possible.

"tame ni" -- for [someone's] sake
"hotoke" -- either "none of your business" or "leave me alone" (something among the lines of those two)

Also, if mizu is "water" and honoo is "fire", what's earth and heaven?

Yes, you got it right.

Not "hotoke" - which means Buddha - but "hottoke".
It's a colloquial form of "houtteoke", imperative of "to leave (someone) alone".
Usually it means "leave him/her alone" but sometimes it can be used to mean "leave me alone".

Also, if mizu is "water" and honoo is "fire", what's earth and heaven?

To be precise, "honoo" means flame. (Fire is "hi".)
There are several words meaning earth and heaven, but when they are used together, most common words are "ten to chi"
(ten = heaven, chi = earth and to means "and".)

"Ittemairimasu" is a polite way to say "ittekimasu".
Ittekimasu = iku + te + kuru (literally to go and come back).
It is a common greeting, one says that when leaving home, etc. where you are expected to come back.

It does not imply the length of absence, though. You can say "ittekimasu" when you are going to school or work (i.e. you are expected to be back in the evening) or when you are going abroad for one month (but but you are supposed to come back eventually).
Actually, when you are leaving just a few minutes, you do not say "ittekimasu".

During chattting session, people sometimes say "ittekimasu" half jokingly, when they're going to be away for a little while.

The counterpart - those who are staying and seeing off the one who is leaving, say "itterasshai".

In standard usage, an example would be: "chotto oyasumi" (short break) or "chotto/sukoshi shitara modorimasu."
In Internet chat slang, you can say "chotto ochimasu."

"Hitori" has greater emphasis on the number "one", implying it's not two or more persons. "Hitorikkiri" or "hitorikiri" places emphasis on loneliness of being alone.

To add a bit more:

おぼえてない Is you 'continuous from using te form'
おぼえる Is the verb to remember, おぼえて いる、 おぼえて いない
In speech that い Is often omitted おぼえてる おぼえてない

ひとりぼっち Implies more loneliness that ひとりきり
ふたりきり is often used too, especially to say that a man and a woman are all alone with nobody else around..

ている is present continuous, and it could mean (1) something on going (2) the present status/situation.
If you say おぼえる then it is rather an action (to input something new in your memory not to forget) while おぼえている means that you've already have it as a memory - it is already in your head and has not disappeared yet!

Same about the word 知る and 知っている.

おなかがすいた : おなか means stomach or belly. すく（空く） means being empty
はらへった : はら(腹） also means abdomen, へる（減る） means decreased. (が after はら is omitted.)
The former is neutral, while the latter sounds a bit harsh, certainly women do not say はらへった as it sounds very mannish.

Quite a messy set of nuances and contingencies in using transitive verbs this way. ☝
What undrentide was referring to were 'momentary' (I think this is the proper term) or 'transition' verbs like "知る" "開く" "入る" etc where there really isn't any way to talk about something in the present or continuous as it is ongoing. All you are able to say really is what has happened and hasn't yet been lost, or is still in effect. In other words if the door is not completely closed, it is open not in the process of "closing."

For instance the standard example "Soko ni itte iru" (iku as a verb of motion) without any context means 1) Has gone to/is still there now. But ２週間そこに行っています 2) will be there two weeks, in the future 3) もう行っている、has been there in the past. I never use it for "is going," although I wouldn't say for sure that is never a possibility since I always seem to get hung up on one aspect of this or another.

The ON reading for that character alone, you mean ? One of them is "chi" meaning knowledge or wisdom.

Its possible just to copy the Kanji over to your dictionary to get all of this information though...
