Try "rikai" (comprehend), "dekianai" (not able to) "hyougen" (expression) "desuyone" (I tell you, don't you agree?". :. In short, I didn't entirely understand your response to Buntaro. :emoji_thinking:

Hai (for yes) is left as hiragana. The kanji used refers to 'ash.' ☝
As for 'crimson from heaven' would you mind elaborating a little further ?

Hoho, now when I read what I wrote I don't really understand what I wrote
if you didn't understand(and I wouldn't, now that I've seen what I wrote ) I mean that Kurenai is a name, but since I don't know how to write names I used the kanji for kurenai which means crimson. Now that I think about it it's kind of stupid since hiragana would have bean better too use

also if they're from heaven but now on earth then perhaps 天国から来たくれない（さん） is better

If this is a Japanese person that we are talking about, then the Kanji for the name have already been decided. I personally have never heard of a Japanese person named Kurenai, so I do not know which Kanji they would be using. Does anyone out there have an idea?

hmm.. I got the name from a manga named Flame of Recca where a girl is named Kurenai, If I could get hold of a raw of when the name is said I think we could easily workout what the kanji is.

How would hearing the name help you figure out the kanji? That's like saying you're going to figure out if some guy spells his name "John" or "Jon" by listening to how he says it.

Anyway, "Kurenai" is not a typical Japanese name. It's a color (a deep shade of red, close to crimson) which is almost definitely what a native speaker would think you were referring to if they heard you say it. But I'm sure you realize that it's not uncommon for characters in a fantasy-type anime to be given unusual names.

I took a wild guess that this girl's name probably uses the same character as the color, and a quick search on Google seems to back that up.

In that case, it would be this: 紅

This is the page that I mentioned above. You'll see that the name appears in one of the episode titles, and the original Japanese title confirms that name Kurenai being written with the character above.

There's nothing wrong with liking the name, but if you were living in Japan and actually tried to name your daughter this, you'd probably get your fair share of funny looks.

one question though:
Kurenai the Angel of Death ( 炎の紅！ 死を呼ぶ天使！)
the first part(炎の紅！) means flame of Kurenai or Kurenais flame, right?
and the last part(死を呼ぶ天使！) the Angel of death, so shouldn't it be translated as Kurenais flame, the angel of death?

I have a vague idea that it could be something like..
My mother said about the election "It has no relation to you(or it has nothing to do with you)" she said.

Am I right or completely off?

close, but お母さんに means the talking is directed towards the mother, not said by the mother. the topic is not explicitly stated, therefore is 私.

so translating, it would be:
when i talked to my mother about the election, she said "it has nothing to do with you" (or "it does not concern you")

Well, to be more faithful to the original grammar, I would say, "When I talked to my mother about the election, I was told, 'it's got nothing to do with you.'"

Glenn's is better because it gets the nuance that the person felt somewhat put out by being told that. It is a nuance that the passive can have. Put "そう言われても" into Google and you will see what I mean.
