It is the "want to" and "and" form. I want to go, and I want to study: Ikitakute, benkyou shitai desu.

3) みせなきゃ <-- what's this mean? The verb ending... I didn't see before.. but is the root word "miseru/show" ?

It is the "must" or "have to" or command form. It is a conversaitonsal form of "misena kereba narimasen." Your example means "have to show something to someone".

Actually the "no" here is probably the "explanation" type "no" I think. Like "it happened, didn't it" or something. It's easier if you type the whole sentence.

-くて can be from "-nai" as well as "-tai". "ikitai" --> "ikitakute shou ga nai" (I really want to go) or "wakaranai" --> "wakaranakute maitte iru" (I'm stuck because I don't understand)

友達同士の会話で「企画が変更になるのはよくあることですから」という言い方も丁寧すぎておかしいですか。 :?

ちょっと丁寧すぎる気もするんですが、おかしくはないんじゃないでしょうか。

たとえば、自分の場合だと

目上（年上）の友達の場合:

「企画（予定）が変更になることはよくあることですから、気にしないでください。」


年下の友達の場合, 同年代の友達の場合 or 目上でも非常に仲が良い為、
あまり（言葉使いには）気を使わない場合:

「まあ、企画（予定）が変更になったんだし、しょうがないな。予定は未定って言うし。」



というような感じで使い分けると思いますが、あくまで自分の場合です。
さらに、Elizabethさんは女性のようなので、俺とは口調が違うはずだと思います・・。 :?

企画(予定)が変更になるのはよくあることですから、気にしないでくださいね。

「あることですから」の部分で「あること」がいつも使用されていますか。

これはどういう意味なんでしょうか？ :?

Regarding your sentence about death, you may need to change the level of politeness. Are you aware that Japanese people change vocabulary depending on who they are talking to?

Buntaro: well, that text is from the Shingetsutan Tsukihime History & Prolog. The main character says that line when he is talking about who he is, and I think it's meant to be thought as it's his thoughts since he is not talking to anyone so he just tells a story for himself, It's hard to explain ^^

You're not reading it wrong. The topic particle "wa" is written "ha" but read "wa." In romanization you'll see people write it both ways.

No offense, but if you're serious about learning the language, you should get yourself a good textbook. This is the sort of question that would be answered in any Japanese 101 class.

thanks jt, I have a a japanese learning book but since I don't have too much time practicing I havn't got too far in it, I'm trying to learn the hiragana atm then after I learned the hiragana and probably the katakana too, I'm going to try to learn how to build sentences etc.

JT is right about the wa/ha thing. Just think of it as another way to pronounce that hiragana.
