Anybody know the Japanese characters for the words "Love" and "Lost Memories"

Love is usually just 愛 (ai), lost memories is trickier.

There are those famous books by Proust called "A la recherche du temps perdu", which means literally "searching for lost time". That is 失われた時を求めて (ushinawareta toki wo motomete) Memory is usually 思い出 (omoide) when talking about individual memories (not the brain function of memory which is 記憶 (kioku)).

So you might want to say 失われた思い出 (ushinawareta omoide). However this sounds somewhat strange because omoide is literally "coming up in your thoughts" which is a clash with the fact that it is forgotten. But that may be a problem with the concept of "lost memories" which is poetic but doesn't actually make a hell of a lot of sense. If it's lost then it isn't a memory, is it?

There are probably a million ways of saying it, like 忘れられた経験 (forgotten experiences) or whatever depending on the exact context.

it has suddely hit me that i dont know how to say "will you go out with me" in japanese, or "are we a couple" or "do you want to be a couple"
i have never herd these phraes used... they just seam to happen naturally (but it makes things confusing)

Something with 付き合う "tsukiau" probably... E.g. "tsukiatte kurenai?", "ore to tsukiatte kure", "oretachi wa tsukiatteru no ka", etc. But ask a native speaker.

if you break it down to words and particles.

And こと is this one

Seriously I think おやり is probably derived from the honorific お and やる and はん might be from the suru verb 反

That sounds weird, need more context. The "o-yari" bit sounds like the classical command (imperative) form of "yaru" in the sense of "do something (for an inferior)" which is used by villains in manga when they are doing something to the hero that the hero doesn't like (like 'koroshite yaru" - I'll kill you). However I'm kind of talking through my --- there because I don't know much about classical Japanese.

"han suru" could possibly mean "oppose" or some similar meaning.

Regarding that flash clip, it's just the lyrics to the anime of Sazae San, you can find them here, so get out the dictionary and have fun! (The level of the Japanese is very simple so it's a good thing to practice on.)

It can either mean "assassination" or "assassin." It seems that "executioner" would work, too.

How does this sound?:

Hitotsu no budou o hajimeyou to shite iru, tatoeba, karate, kendou, nado nado.

Any native speakers out there? Waka-san? Would a native speaker use something like this, or a completely different sentence?

umm, I have never heared "彼をはんしておやり" and cant understand what "はんしておやり" means.
maybe "彼をぱんしておやり" or "彼をはなしておやり" ?


If so, the translations may be like these:

彼をぱんしておやり="Spank him!"

彼をはなしておやり="Release him!"

I think "Watasi wa karate ya kendou nado, nanika budou wo hajimetai to omotteimasu" is good.

yeah, sometimes it acts funny like that and it will not load and you see "Please loading.." sign. Anyway, the writing what you say? Tell me what it said? And if anyone else can translate this song to me please, it'd be much appreciated.

Note: (I'm pretty sure the style of kanji/kana in the Sazae is read vertical; not horizontal. More of the traditional style)

Also, is Sazae someones name? I imagine it is this persons name in the song because I heard Sazae-san, but adding -san to something doesn't necessarily mean it has to do with someones last name (like in English. Mr. X, Mrs. X, etc)

Help! Game cheat translation!

I've got this "X Unmei no Tatakai" game, and I'm curious about its cheat codes. I saw some pages in English, but I found a Japanese one, that apparently has things that I didn't find in any other English page.

Can someone translate this thing for me?? I tried AltaVista Babel Fish, but I need a more decent translation (impossible to understand). I thank you very much!

How to use Hidden character '火煉'

First, Clear "神威(kamui)"mode with 神威, 昴流, 空汰, and 護刃
then, push ↑、○、→、○、↓、○、←、○ in the title screen.

How to use hidden colors

If you clear "神威"mode with星史郎(Sirou Hoshi) or 昴流(subaru?),
you can choice the color of that characters at the character deciding screen,
with L1+R1 pushed.


How to use hidden back ground

If you clear 神威 mode with all characters including 火煉 or push ↑, L1 , ←, L1, ↓, L1, →, L1 at the title screen,
you can choice hidden background "in the dream"


I cant read 火煉(Karen?), 昴流(Subaru?), 空汰(Sorata?), and 護刃.
But, I think these are the character's names in that game.
