Can anyone kindly tell me what is the meaning of かく戦えり。？I only know that it is something related to war...but I can't figure out the meaning, because I can't find this word in the dictionary. Thanks in advance.

All I can find out is
a) It is very often not used in direct relation to war and
b) It is possibly 斯く戦えり
(Of course you know how it's read, right?)

This is just いい + the explanatory の (of のです) + the sentence ending particle さ

I have a whole two translated example sentences using that exact combination.

おとうさんが言う事なんて気にしないでいいのさ。
Don't pay any attention to what he says.
なに、彼に援助を求めるだけでいいのさ。
Well, you have only to ask for his help.

It's better put in the negative. "No ordinary thing can ...."

That makes sense. It's just such an uncommon construction, particularly without the は and the passive 壊れることがありません (it is never broken?).

Well this was the only WWWJDIC example for 一直線

彼は仕事が終わるとすぐ一直線にパブへ向かう。
As soon as work is over he makes a beeline for the pub.

and the passive 壊れることがありません (it is never broken?).

"There is no breaking of ..." is over literal but I think gets the idea across.

Sorry to keep troubling you, but I am really not good in my Japanese grammar, despite the fact I have finished studying all the 3 books of "Japanese for Busy People". No seriously I don't think it's Japanese. I don't recognize the first character and I don't know any word that has two 寿's

Depends. Did you just pick those two words out of a hat or are they from somewhere in particular?

so it's only sentences ending in のさ that you have to worry about.

Those three kanjis can be Japanese, can be Korean, can be Chinese, whatever is it... they mean longevity. The 壽, is the traditional kanji, the 2nd and 3rd 寿 are the simplified kanji. Or you can put it the other way, which is traditional chinese and simplfied chinese.

In my opinion, it is more likely to be written by Chinese, as Chinese like to have the word longevity around them. But this is not 100%, Korean people used to like this kind of things too, especially the older generation, so it could be written by Korean as well. The Japanese, absorbed so much chinese culture, could well have it as well....but I think it is not important who wrote it, anyway it means the same thing and having the same purpose...

All that three characters mean the same thing. In East Asian culture (I mean the Kanji users), they like to repeat writing the same character a few times, especially when it comes to these auspicious character, so that it looks more auspicious.

Putting it in the English way, it will be
Longevity! Longevity! Longevity!

With the comment on rules of usage, I basically wanted to clarify there's nothing sacred in 'no sa,' as a unique phrase.

What browser are you using? I recommend Firefox for the Microsoft-phobes Opera and Safari support for Japanese seems to be a bit shakey - especially in dubiously designed web-pages.

I think you're thinking of
黒影 【こくえい】 silhouette; dark shadow
but that has a) Only 2,260 matches and b) Seems to be generally read as kurokage
